Professor Garand was amazing. Sure, she moves quickly, but if you pay attention and take good notes you will be fine. Tests very straight forward, she stresses what information is on them repeatedly. Always ready to help you in any way she can, and if you get above a 93 you don't have to take the final. Really knows her stuff.

Turbo fast. Probably because she spends a bit too much time letting you know what is going on in the world (important stuff, but I've kept track-recently class started at 20 min past the hour because she's telling us about events) i appreciate this info, but i'd rather she save it for the last 5 min instead of jamming in the next concept in 5 min.

Awesome teacher!!! No regrets, took her for 3 classes. The accounting teachers (Blackburn, Lapan, and Garand) are all great teachers, so no matter who you choose, you will make off fine.

WHATEVER!! Haha, this woman is absolutely insane, but I love it. She really wants you to succeed. She tells you exactly what is on her tests, and constanly repeats the stuff, its a wonder to me how people fail that class. Oh yeah best part get a 93 and no FINAL!!! Do the homework though it really does help and she will randomly check it.

WOW! what an amazing woman. definitely cares alot about her students. she gives partial credit on exams and they are exactly what she assigns for homework. i took Brown first and almost failed, then i took garand and got an A. She's great!

She tries really hard to keep the class interesting; work with her on this. She goes above and beyond to help everyone (she gives too much of herself, she really cares). She does tell you exactly what is on the test; she says it so many times that it is amazing that anyone has to take her final (you test out with a 93). I think she is awesome!

There are trade-offs: She is very fast paced and you must be prepared or you will get lost. She practically tells you what's on the test. If you study and do your homework you should do well. (If your interested in accounting) If your not interested than don't take intermediate accounting.

No teacher cares more about your success than her. Period! She may seem tough & uncaring at first (always says, "whatever"), but it is her "show" which is satirical humor; she is hilarious. If you can't pass her class, you should avoid accounting entirely. She is the reason I declared an accounting concentration. You'll learn more than accounting.
