Professor French is awesome I would deff take her again she helps you with all your essays she also gives you time to do them in class! She super friendly will also answer all of your questions. She is good at emailing you back I would recommend her completely !

She is tough on grading and a bit overly meticulous with punctuation mistakes but as long as you try hard read study and give full effort you will be good she is caring and does answer as best she can to help you understand what your having trouble with and gives good feedback

What a great professor. Very helpful and insightful, if you seek out the help. Allows you to make up lower grades. Thorough and gives a lot of feedback to help the learning process. I took a lot of tools with me from this class for writing.

She is very nice but I felt that she was a little too harsh with grading for an elective course. This course revolves around short stories and she does not often grade based on effort but instead what she wants to read. She does not answer e-mails too often and participation is a larger part of grades than it should be.

Great Professor, Always willing to help if you need it. Explains things thoroughly. Always gives good feedback and always will let you revise an essay for a better grade. She one of the best Professors I've had. I have had for more than one semester

This class was a lot of work, if you want a good great make sure you do all the weekly quizzes, discussion boards, analysis questions & read! Mid & final are timed 2 hrs only with multiple choice quest., long answer responses & 1-2 essay responses, so be prepared for those. Prof. French assigns 3 essay papers & you can revise for a better grade.

Comment:

Professor French is a good teacher overall. Took her online course. Open book quizzes, easy. 3 essays, chance to revise 2, but you won't receive many extra points, maybe 1 at most, so it's not really worth putting all the extra time in to revise. Pretty tough grader, could give more extra points. Will help if you ask. Lots of reading & Homework!

Lots of assignments! and very time consuming. Always available to help. You can revise an essay but don't expect a big difference with all the extra work. Lots of tests and quizzes and essays on finals. Hard class.

Lots and lots of reading, essays, and analysis of literature. Poetry was the hardest for me. Midterm and finals include essays and typed answers. Its very time consuming, pay attention to due dates for the weekly work I managed to miss 2 deadlines.

One of the best professors for literature, hybrid class was amazing and interesting, she grades fair and allows you to revise essays. only 3 in the semester. when u meet her she is extremely nice her voice sounds like a disney princess's :D

LOVED Betsy! This was my first on-line course and I really enjoyed it. She picked great reading material. Class isn't hard, but not easy either; you have to do the work. Weekly open book vocab quizzes. Study guides tell you everything that will be on tests. 3 papers due AND she lets you revise for a better grade. Definitely would take her again!

I loved this professor. She had a high interest in the material and wanted to make sure you UNDERSTOOD the material. Simple vocab quizzes every week and occasional tests and essays that ARE NOT DIFFICULT if you do the reading. She chooses awesome material too!

I'm reading other comments from students in my same online class and I wonder if we were in the same class! Not only did she allow me to reschedule an exam that I had a conflict with, I also met with her several times for extra help and often emailed/called her. She was so great--concerned and accomodating. I loved what we read and learned a lot

Avoid her. Her quizzes are easy but the exams she will fail you with no remorse of second glancing to see if she even made a mistake. After studying 2 days straight pulling all nighters and answering EVERY question and EVERY essay she still failed me. She is unaccomodating to students needs. Coming from a student that gets A's.
