Prof. Gilliland is very nice and truely wants you to succeed. All she expects is to see you trying and paying attention. If you show you care about your work you will do fine. Tests are easy. I'm not a fan of group projects, and there are 2 of those. This class is boring however. It is not about modern pop culture, it is about the history of it.

As long as you attend class, do the homework and study,you'll do fine. Teacher is willing to help with study guides for tests if you ask for help after class. Tests are easy and multiple choice. Test questions come right off the study guides that she gives you.

This professor loves to hear herself talk, talk, talk. She never really lets students say a word. Very, very narrow minded in her thinking. If you want a very black and white world view of history, go for it. She's computer illerate and nasty.

Come to class and take good notes, do the homework and you'll be fine. She provided study guide with the questions and answers that were on test/final. She is passionate about what she teaches and very smart. She wants you to do well. Comes off harsh at first but very friendly and willing to help.

There is no way anyone should fail class. Test usually only take ten minutes to finish. Finals were 50 questions, and by the time she had passed out all exams, I was finish. Does talk about Puritans alot, but as a minority do not talk it personal. Come to class, do homework, and read and you will get an A or at least a B. Pay attn u will pass, easy

Good professor. I will admit the first class was a little scary. However, if you show up and stay awake you'll do fine. I missed two classes in a summer session and still got a "B". I did apply myself though. She was more than willing to work with me. I'm sure being ex-military helped! :+)

Worst teacher ever. I attended every class, did all the hw, had a medical issue, had a doctors note, and she wouldn't take my week-late work, but let other students who hadn't turned in ANY homework turn it in a month plus later. Incredibly unorganized, disinterested, and mediocre teacher. NEVER take her class! Unfair and sometimes even rude.

Easy class, just have to read...nothing impossible. If you don't pass you are an idiot! She is a very nice lady who really puts in alot of effort into her lesson plans. She really cares about her students.

Very nice and easy grader as long as you show up for class and do your homework. Lots of opportunities for extra credit. But she made the class sooooo boring, and does not like when you ask questions. There is no opportunity for discussion about the topics, which is really frustrating.

Don't drop after the 1st class. Not as hard as it first seems. A lot of papers and presentations but they are actually fun and easy. She isnt always clear on what she is looking for; but she is an easy grader and she really is nice. If you show up and do the work you'll pass. Exams are open book & notes. Just dont be intimidated by 1st class.
