Professor Josselyn is an amazing teacher and person! I really enjoyed her Comm10 online class! She made the weekly discussion posts very inviting and she tied the reading to current events. The tests were all pretty easy and she also assigned two papers - one must be done with a group and the other may be done solo or as a group. Take this prof!

class is online but requires you to go to 1 cultural event in order to write a paper, which was fine because it gets u out of the house & doing something fun! That being said, such a sweet lady! Passed her class with an A & responds to emails very quickly! There are 5 discussion posts every week but easy. 7 quizzes/test. 2 papers. I recommend her

I wouldn't say this professor is an "easy" A. You still have to do the work and there is a lot of discussion to keep on top of, but overall the text was digestible and informative and everything else straightforward. Quizzes were right from the book and modules. There are two reflective papers. Overall, I would take her again! Great professor.

SUPER EASY A! Weekly discussion post are less than 100 words and two papers done on a film and a cultural event - one of these is required to be completed with a partner in person. All quizzes are open book - NO FINAL EXAM OR MIDTERM. Weekly readings are not very long

Took an online course for the main purpose of it being ONLINE. She requires you to go out and meet some classmates to do a group project with.. defeats the purpose of taking online?? 5 discussion posts every week, 7 quizzes/tests, 2 papers. Which isnt bad but has very specific rules for every post & paper. gives a little extra credit which is nice

Took comm 10 and 12 from her. Get ready to read and actually think about the material. If you participate you will get a good grade. She's flexible with test dates and papers. Weekly discussion posts are not hard work, you just learn the material by communicating and sharing experiences/opinions. Great prof!

This class was very good for developing communication skills, particularly regarding very sensitive topics that require an open mind. The topics were all very well presented with many different types of material. In addition, engagement was very good considering it is online. This class is invaluable for one's career!

dont take her online class unless you are ready to read and remember to do lots of discussions. Must need to buy the course book because the modules are useless. Quiz questions sometimes are hilarious and sensitive.

This class was very inspirational for me. The instructor is approachable and the work (forum posts based on the reading and supplemental on-line modules)and three projects) really get you thinking. I liked this class so much I decided to focus on cultural issues for my graduate work.

I truly learned a lot about the different facets of intercultural communication from cultural understanding, to communication methods, to conflict resolution. I think this class will help me in my career in the long run for international business and diplomacy. Professor Josselyn is a great professor and you should definitely take her!

I'm currently taking Cultural Communications with this teacher and really enjoying it. It's super interesting. We work from a textbook and also from her own published material. There is lots of discussion and interaction online with other classmates and I feel this really adds to the online experience. Highly recommend this class and professor.

Super nice teacher. She is very straight forward and doesn't make you do a lot of work. The class is fun because you talk about your experiences and do fun film analysis. Pretty easy. Just study for quizzes.

I took inter cultural communications on-line. Dr. Josselyn gave every opportunity for each student to be successful. She adjusted the syllabus when there was a national holiday. She gave a few days for responses to weekly questions as well as the quizzes. As long as you keep track of the syllabus due date, you should do well.

I took her online class. The discussions and writing assignments were interesting and pretty easy. She did not have strict guidelines which allows you more freedom. But the organization of class was somewhat confusing to me. And we were given only one day to do our online quizzes. Overall, I recommend her

Her classes were kind of a drag. The real stress of this class comes from meeting with your group mates to do get together these 15min presentations. She grades these presentations easily; doesn't care about content but cares about how the group uses her terms in the presentation and other small details about how she likes presentations.
