Dr. Lauzon was the absolute best teacher ever. If any of you have the option of taking her class, you are LUCKY. Not only is she a great professor who is super knowledgeable and experienced but she is the kindest. She is the true definition of a teacher. Micro isnt easy, but you will enjoy it & apply the info into every day life, I promise!

Dr. Lauzon is quite the gem. She reminds you of those cool grandmothers you see in the movies all the time, with tons of hilarious stories to tell when it's related to a certain topic in class. Her exams are based on her lectures - her PPTs are more picture-heavy so I advise that you record her lectures since she can sometimes speak really fast.

she is a very nice and caring teacher and does everything to help her students do well in her class she is always there to help you even when you're having difficulty she does everything to work with you to ensure you pass her class she makes class feel good and makes learning enjoyable I'd definitely like to take more classes with her

Nice lady, however fast paced and difficult class. The professor provides a lot of resources and materials and office hours, but in the short quarter it was impossible for an average learner like me. Her lecture slides are only pictures and were difficult for me to follow at home and keep up with the book. Along with lecture, lab was impossible.

It is not often you find a professor that truly cares about his/her students. Dr. Lauzon is one of those professors. She is by far the best professor I have ever had. Don't get me wrong, you have to work for your grade, but you are in college! Don't just expect an A, earn an A! Her enthusiasm for all things science is captivating and inspiring! A+

This class was amazing all due to the professor. Show up to class and you will pass. Book is not required as her exams are based directly from her lectures. Gives extra credit opportunities on exams. There is a group project at the end of the quarter but it's very fun and this is coming from someone who hates group work! Take her, she's awesome!

Dr. Lauzon is an awesome professor. She wants each of her students to succeed in her class. Offers extra credit usually every class but you need to attend class to gain the extra credit. Go to class! These extra credit points come in handy as the quarter goes by.

I took both Intro Biology (BIOL1001) and Microbiology (BIOL2025) with Dr. Lauzon, and in short, she is fantastic. If you actually want to learn something in an interesting way by a teacher who actually cares about you, take her class. Basic Bio is pretty straightforward and fairly easy, Micro is much harder, her tests are directly from her lecture

She's A wonderful lecturer ; Her enthusiasm about the the human Microbiome really captivated my interest. The Only complaint I have was that I wish there was a research paper component instead of having the Grade solely based on one midterm and a final exam. Make sure you come to class!

I had Dr. Lauzon for both basic and microbio. Her basic biology was easy. You could pass without even trying. Her microbiology class is quite harder. Her tests are really specific but will never give you anything uncalled for. She's honestly the best teacher I have ever had. If you could choose any professor for any type of science class, pick her.

I cannot emphasize enough on how incredible dr lauzon is! she is the best! Yeah this class is hard, but not if you study and really pay attention to her lectures in class! She is always there for help no matter how many questions you have! I am not a science person and i hate science but she made me love biology. Also recording lectures is helpful!

She is extremely hard teacher. She gives so hard exams. Even if you study hard to prepare for exams, still it is very hard to get even a C in exams because her exams are out of this world. Please, please take another teacher for such a tough course of microbiology. If you are not good in science like me, then this teacher is not an option for you. From personal experience by taking her, my honest advice is to not sign up for her because she is a very hard grader and her class is full of hardest exams and quizes but nothing else.
