She is very experienced and respected, however she does go on tangents that are not related to the subject matter. She does provide the power-points used but they do not provide much explanation and she also does not explain the material. Reading the text isn't required but without it, odds are you will be confused and not pass the exams.

Read the book/teach yourself or you wont pass. I used our 50 minute classes to do homework for other classes because her lectures were impossible to follow. There was no point in even trying to take notes because she was so off topic and all over the place. Very disorganized and does not upload grades until weeks after they are submitted.

She goes off topic often. Lots of personal examples because shes been in the field for a long time. Shes a nice person but her tests are difficult (almost everyone failed the first test). Shes not the worst professor Ive ever had but you have to put the work in to get a good grade in this class.

Honestly worst professor I ever had , literally. It is so hard to get a hold of her via email, calls you by the wrong name if she remembers it. Most of the time she talks about herself and you kinda self teach yourself. Read the book and her PowerPoints and you should be fine grade wise.

She's a smart professor with tons of experience which is probably the class consists of her going off tangents. I went to class once a week and taught myself everything from the book because I didn't get anything out of going to the lecture. She does give extra credit which helps boost your grade. exams are half take home half multiple choice.

She is the most confusing professor I have ever had. Nothing she says makes any sense and her "lectures" are all over the place and are complete nonsense. If you have the option to, do not take this professor. If you're left with no choice, then you need to read every chapter of the textbook and basically teach yourself the material.

Such a sweet lady and she is SO accommodating if you miss an assignment. Lectures are hard to follow but her stories can be interesting. Not a bad class and super easy tests. No cumulative final, just an essay.

The worst professor I've had at BSU so far. She's is really knowledgeable about the field, but is super hard to follow during lectures. Lectures are boring and completely irrelevant. I taught myself everything. Material comes straight from the book. Also super rude and not helpful. She is very unclear about the criteria. Overall, I hated her.

In general PSYC100 is an info heavy course but Professor Nugent does a pretty good job at breaking everything up. I recommend staying ahead and reading before class and doing the notes so you can just pay attention in class and follow along. She is super caring and provides great examples. She does ramble sometimes but so does everyone I guess.

Very kind woman, definitely has experience in the field. A little frogetful. Had the same exact class(same examples and chose the same students for the same examples) once. Shakes her head and hands a lot which can be distracting. Close to retirement?

Dr. Nugent is an expert in her field. The psychology of personality course is very conceptual so you need to thoroughly understand the theories and concepts presented. She is a very nice lady and is always available if you need extra help. She wants her students to do well. There is a lot writing for this class, but she is a VERY fair grader.

DO NOT take this class unless you are prepared SOLELY read the text to study for exams. Nice lady, definitely an expert in the field but her lectures are 100% nonsense. Tests were easy if you memorized whats in the book. Put effort into all of her online writing assignments and you'll be OK. Can't stress enough that you must READ THE BOOK!!!!!

Dr. Nugent can be a little hard to follow, but her humor and love for the subject make up for it. She is not quick to grade papers, and expect little feedback, but if you do the work and read the book you will do fine.

If you can''t learn from a textbook don''t take this class Her lectures are more like rambling stories that make no sense. I got an A in this class because I taught myself from the book. She is a very sweet woman but doesn''t know how to teach. Her tests are all multiple choice and she gives you an outline of exactly what it will be on.

If you want to spend an hour wasting your time, this is the class for you. Professor Nugent babbles on about nothing and expects you to understand everything for her tests which are extremely difficult if you don't study in advance. The textbook is the only thing that kept me alive in this class. She's nice but I'd suggest taking another professor

Super nice, has a ton of experience in the field which she shares in class. Lectures are clear and interesting, she gives take home questions for the exams that can boost your grade 30 points if you work on them. Read the book and go to class and it's an easy A.

She is a very nice professor! One of the nicest I have had, but not at all clear in her teaching, or even on topic with her discussions or assignments. Asking for clarity usually results in being more confused

I was very afraid to take her after reading reviews but I went with it anyway. She uses slides directly from the book and rambles on about who knows what. She gives study guides for exams, I barely took notes and I fell asleep half the time. Nice lady, she offers LOTS of extra credit but barely responds to email. I got an A. Take at your own risk.
