Lowe was very helpful. Of course some of the material was hard, but you can always go to her for help. It's an easy A if you put effort in your work

Comment:

I would say she is an "OK" instructor. Her assignments are weighted strangely. For example a rough draft was 50% of my essay grade, whereas the final draft was much lower. Also, there is hardly any consistency with her grading and feedback is not always clear. With that said, she is very responsive! I would get grades the next day. Easy workload.

I wish I had read these reviews before I took this class. She is exactly what everyone says, except the people who thought she was awesome. I get that instructors can do whatever they want since they are the teacher, but no one needs teacher's like this she is so vague & uncaring BTW i took online. Don't take her she is not here 4 u 2 succeed

Very hard grader. Took class online, very vague instructions, but she grades hard based off vague instructions. It's an online class and you get zero direction. I make really good grades, but just couldn't figure out what her expectations were.

She is a published author, and a wonderful person. She will edit your essays, if you ask for help. I learned the art of forming an intellectual argument in her class. Take her if you want to truly learn!

I have had a successful semester so far, my lowest grade is a 90. She has responded to my emails in a timely manner and has answered any questions I've had. I am also a Nursing student and have other responsibilities outside of school. I believe you will get out of this course what you put in. If you don't understand something, ask or research it!

The absolute hardest class I have ever taken! I have over 90 college hours and this class was by far the worst! She would not give feedback and expected me to know everything without any help from her. I would not recommend her to anyone. She is very vague on her instructions and gets mad if you ask her for help in understanding them.

If you just want a easy class, then you're right, Dr. Lowe is not the teacher for you. If you want to learn something, she's great. Her instructions are super clear but you have to read them. BTW, you can't know what everyone in the class made because posting grades is illegal.

I will never again take an online class because of this woman. I took this class as a dual credit class thinking it would be easy because its British Lit Hello? Shakespeare! Of course I was quickly proven wrong when she gave everyone in the class a low B or high C. Her essay assignments are incredibly confusing and she will not email back!!!!

WORST TEACHER EVER! I took this class because i needed it to get my Associates Degree in Business and didn't get it because of this class! She counts off half the grade for citation errors, and if you ask her about it, all her answers are refer to MLA handbook. I even had my Aunt (English Major) help me with an essay and got a 40 on it! DO NOT TAKE

Took online. HUGE mistake. She expects you to read her mind. She assigns essays with little instruction and if you ask for help, she becomes condescending. She is the rudest instructor I have ever encountered and I am taking this to finish my BA. Do not take this class. I cannot emphasize this enough. RUN! Believe the other bad reviews..I lived it

I have Dr. Lowe this smester too but she has helped me so much. She writes lots of comments on drafts to explain exactly what I need to fix before I have to turn in my papers. We only have to turn in one rough draft but I asked her to check my next draft to be sure I had it right and she did.

Horrible Do not take brit lit online. It is obvious that she is old and hates online courses DO NOT TAKE!!!! She is not helpful at all! And she is lazy I dropped her class last semester after she gave me a zero on a paper a min late and did not want to jeopardize my 3.9 gpa. And everything is the same turned in the same paper

This is one amazing teacher! Her class is super organized and she is incredibly fair. She obviously loves her job which makes her class easy to love as well. I would take her again in a heartbeat! Just make sure you stay on top of the reading and you will do great!

Took Brit. Lit. online and struggled at first but at the end I came back to get a 75. Just read, take your own organized notes and you should do better than I. A campus class may be a little easier.
