Comment:

Dr. Weaver is very different from most college professors. She is very much a control-freak, which can be good and bad. Do not miss class. I repeat: do not miss class, even if you are DYING. I know she lost her husband recently, and I will say that she is composed and professional, and I really admire her for her strength in dealing with that.

Comment:

Dr. Weaver is one of the best professors I have had at Union. She expects a lot out of her students; her class is not easy. Dr. Weaver genuinely cares about each student in and out of the classroom. I would definitely recommend taking her. She has a great sense of humor, which made her class fun! I learned so much this semester from her.

She advises most of the Biology Pre-Med students, so if you are one of these, you better learn to like her if you don't from the onset. She favors males and she likes people involved in the Greek system. Hard teacher and you'll have to work for your grade. The study guides are UBER IMPORTANT for the tests. Only option for 112. Absolutely love her.

She is very confusing when it comes to her lectures and test. She will talk more about her cats than about biology. If you are looking to learn biology then I recommend taking a different class. I loved biology before taking her class and now I hate it.

Bio 112 was difficult. Dr. Weaver has high expectations and hard work is needed for a good grade. I recommend you print out all her slides, then write down everything she says that is not already on the slides. Do that and read the textbook and you'll do well. She is an excellent teacher and wants everyone to succeed, but she won't hand outfree A's

Sweet lady but not the best professor in the world. Difficult tests that pick out obscure details in power point. Lectures are dry and very ineffective in teaching.

Dr. Weaver is a nice person, but a strict professor. Her instructions are very vague. She shows no mercy in grading. No curves. Her test can contain anything she pulls out of the powerpoints regardless of how insignificant it may be. She does not really teach. She just talks off the powerpoint and goes too fast. She always goes over 5 min in class

Many people feel as if Dr. Weaver is too harsh or too strict. The material is advanced and she presents it in an advanced, but comprehensible manner. She's very approachable outside of class. Don't be intimidated by her sternness in class, she's very serious about science, but believe it or not can hold a decent conversation on other topics as well

She's a very good teacher, very smart. Her tests are hard, but if you spend a couple of hours a night studying the week before, do the study guides, do biobucks, pay attention and always do homework, you'll be fine

She's a good teacher considering that it is a hard course. An A is not unattainable as long as you pay attention to the power points, take advantage of the study guides, do biobucks, and go to the study session. I barely missed getting a B in that class and I didn't have a very good biology background from high school.

Her class is very difficult due to the large amount of subject material covered for each test. She is very helpful and will explain things in a number of different ways if you have any confusion on a subject. If you go to her after class or after a test and talk to her she will offer advice and encouragement. Overall a great teacher.

I really liked Dr. Weaver's class. I got an A and she was always will to help. Yes, it was difficult and requires a lot of studying, but I liked her a lot.
