She is a tough grader but if you skip class you will loose a ton of points. She counts each day in class as 5 points and even if you have an excuse you were not in class so she deducts points...

Prof Lambert is a sweet old lady with tons of experience. Very tech challenged so she won't update your grade until finals. Incredibly touch grader and will challenge everything you know about writing. Seems sweet in class but grades like a mad man. She will do her best to help you, but will tell you to go to the writing center before anything

Professor Lambert is a great and kind professor. There isn't much homework for her class, but she grades super tough. Even the mistake of a comma or wrong pronoun use can send you to a C. I had to go to the writing center almost every week, even though I passed other English courses with an A. She is very sweet and nice, making the class fun.

Super nice personality, but her grading style for a literature class is off to me. She grades as if it was a 400 level class, and it's mainly based off of your written-technical errors. It was more of a writing class than a literature class. Would not recommend her if you're taking her as a GE class.

She is a really tough grader for a GE prof. I had never got anything below a B on a paper until I took her class. Attendance is vital to passing the class. She is also old school so there's no power points its all oral lecture. Sweet lady though very caring. If you do take her, never take her 3 hour class!!! You will wish you didn't.

Amazing teacher. So sweet and gives good feedback. Only 2 tests, mostly essays but you work on them for a long time. Oral presentation is on a topic of your choice. You will become close with the students in your class because of this. 10/10 would recommend.

Dr. Lambert is the sweetest lady you will ever meet! She is SO knowledgeable in anything literature and a joy to listen and talk to. She is scrupulous in terms of grammar though, which is the only reason that you would get a poor grade. Would take again, and I'm a business major!

Dr. Lambert is really enjoyable and fun to listen to. At times her writing class can get boring but her teaching and discussions make up for it. She grades your essays in FULL detail and helps you really learn how to write and improve your grade. On a side note, she is big on punctuation and grammar so be forewarned. Highly recommend this class.

Truly loves education and the art of teaching, and her love of the subject will easily permeate you. Her editing will literally whip you in to shape whether you like it or not, but the good news is you will learn. The reading list is awesome-- it includes books that every person should read, and the discussions are always relevant and insightful.

Carole is such a sweet woman. She is completely dedicated to her students and will help so much, and will even approach you about this. She's pretty brutal on grading as far as papers are concerned, but she wants to see her students improve. We had a small class and loved her for her charm and stories. Very very sweet.

LOVED this class. She's the epitome of a sweet, little English teacher but she's really funny and went to Berkeley. Really made me like medieval and renaissance literature which I didn't think was possible.

This woman has a love for knowledge, and I learned much from her. She brought the literature alive and never stoped smiling. She loves her students, and does not play favorites even though she loves when the class speaks up during discussions. She's not easy, but I enjoyed her class a lot

Comment:
It is very obvious that she loves what she does, however she seems to play favorites and is very one sided on her grading. Even if you write an essay perfectly, she will try to rearrange the wording to her preferences, and grade you accordingly. Very unfair, and boring class at times.
