She made me hate poetry. she missed the first few classes, then came back, then missed some more, and told me that i couldn't write. she was mean and not helpful at all. I tried to talk to her...but she didn't care.

A total ****. Has no sympathy for the working student. Snobby. She is allowed to miss the first two classes but if you miss one it will hurt you. Forget if you miss a class when an assignment is due. She won't let you email it to her or turn it in.And her lectures are worse then death itself.

she's very boring and laughs at her own jokes. if she disagrees with you on a point in a paper or something- you're not getting an A. This class would have been made so much better by a charistmatic and enjoyable teacher.

"Creative" and "stylistic differences" galore!!!!! Does not grade objectively. Will push student writers in directions that are totally opposite of their own, then talk about having to "find yourself" as a writer. Abrasive. Untactful. Very critical (not constructively so). Creative? NO!!!!!!!

I had Dr. Stone for two poetry writing classes. She encouraged me to keep writing when I had no confidence in myself. I've actually had some poetry published and I have to give her some credit for helping me fine tune the craft.

I had a really great experience in this class,even if the work due was handed in a week late, she still gave full credit, a lot of work though and reading,you can be absent as much as you want and it doesn't count against you, make sure she knows who you!

It was a good class... very broad though. she is a little snobby, but she knows what she is talking about. i learned alot, but did not retain much of it. I found myself just riding it out. no real interest.
