Plays favorites hardcore. Has an extremely "hot and cold" personality; switches from being extremely friendly and helpful one day to rude as anything the next. Very knowledgeable, but not recommended.

Hard grader and plays favourites. If your not a kiss up you'll do bad. Tests don't make sense and you have to teach yourself because she spends 20 minutes on the vocab for every chapter then moves on to other things that we were supposed to do in previous chapters.

Hmm...I liked her a lot. However, if you do not come to class and/or you come unprepared, then you are going to have problems. The class itself is cake. She is great and very helpful. You just need to do your part. This is not high school spanish.

Fun and entertaining in class. Wants to see you improve and is always willing to help. One-on-one oral tests, but very laid back and comfortable atmosphere. As long as you prepare for your speeches they are easy, just dont think youll get a good grade without preparing. Not sure about lower level classes, but take her for upper lever def.

I thought she was very good teacher, fun to be around and is outgoing! Her tests are kinda long, but if you study what she tells you, you'll do fine. Gives alot of quizzes, it helps cuz they're short and prepare for the tests. Very Fun! I really liked her!!

I think she's a great teacher. It was the first time she ever taught this class so she was VERY lenient on the students. Even if you took every quiz and got a bad grade, there were plenty of other assignments to over ride them. The final was exactly what she said it would be on. I got a good grade!

If you see "Voices of Central America," RUN! Worst class ever. Dr. Bell didn't teach at all, tests were on material never covered, and the whole course was on government. Books in English-You translate everything. The atlas required cost $110.

Very bad professor for Spanish I. Not very helpful. Very long & hard tests & quizes. Lots of writing on tests, lots of homework. Doesn't explain anything. Doesn't write answers on the board-could help is she did. DON'T TAKE for Spanish I is not helpful.

Dr. Bell is by far the most memorable language teacher I had at KU. I was a language major (French and Spanish) and I am now teaching. Not only is she way competent, she's way cool.
