Dr. Eyles is very approachable and helpful. She will make time for you whether you need help with class, life advice, or are just going through a tough time! Personally I'm not a big fan of earth sciences but she made class interesting and her slides are full of images. You need to go to class to do well, but the tests are fair and pretty easy.

Don't listen to ANYONE else on here. Dr. Eyles is one of the most inspiring, interesting, and enthusiastic teachers I have every had. She is incredibly approachable, and keeps everything interesting in class. The class covers many topics because it is an INTRO class, but it gives students a very good idea about what they may be interested in.

We had so many labs in her 1G03 class, I thought they were kidding every time they announced another one. Labs are tedious and difficult to complete. Test were also difficult and I thought that she was snobby during lecture. Wouldn't take another class with her.

I agree big time: she is spiteful, favouritist, and 2-faced. She only concentrates in what she likes. Eventhough enthusiastic, she should be a high-school teacher and not a university prof. She needs to get more in depth into things!!

Although loved by most of her students, this teacher fails to convey any worthwile material, instead focusing on her pet topics, which returns no value on investment. Spiteful, favouritist, and two-faced . Advice: pretend to love every word out of her mouth and you will get a great mark.
