Carolyn knows her stuff, but she is old. She is set in her ways. She has opinions about who can be in theatre and who can't. She will say you are too fat or too skinny. She will also typecast you. She has a lot of knowledge, but needs to retire.

Carolyn is an amazing, caring teacher. She will tell it to you straight and will let you know when things aren't working for you, but if you show dedication and commitment will back you up 110%. She is bound to make you better and even when you might not have faith in yourself she will have faith in you.

she is a really nice professor and is very clear in her lectures, so if you are interested in this class, don't worry, you are in good hands with this professor.. but if you are not interested in this class and your advisor tells you to take it, dont! you will be extremely bored..

What an amazing Proff! Carolyn demanded excellence which helped me to become a better performer. She definately gives an honest and heartfelt opinion. I highly reccomend her, but just make sure that you truly care about the class and take it seriously.

I think she's just about the most caring instructor I've ever met. She has helped me grow as a performer more than any single person ever has. As I understand it, she won't be here much longer...so GET IN HER CLASSES! YOU WILL LEARN A LOT!

I hated her. I thought she was a theater snot. I had to take this class and not because I am a theater major. In fact, that is totally not my thing at all. Because of that, she could have cared less about me. Do not take her unless you like being cut down

This was my first theater class and Carolyn helped me learn a lot. She was very honest and demanding of your performance. One time, she made me sing in front of the class because my voice was not hitting the back of the room.

Not a very understanding professor. Will make up her mind about you (and your grade) within the first week. She gives good advice though, since she tells you what you don't want to hear, which is usually the truth. Good at separating good actors from bad.
