Shes an extremely hard teacher. For an oral comm class in college she is using material that is way harder than required. If you get on her bad side you will not pass very easily. I passed with an A but only because I worked extremely hard. I would not suggest taking her.

Honestly I respect her so much. She knows her stuff. She is an AMAZING teacher but tough. Her tests were a bit crazy and hard, I felt that she was trying to trick us at times. But she will tell you EXACTLY what she wants and gives you GREAT examples which is so helpful and makes it easy, do your work and you will do fine!

She is very strict on attendance, does not except late assignments and is a very tough teacher. No kids, never married and doesn't seem to enjoy life. Advise-if you take her course go into the class with a good attitude and be nice to her and she will love you. Stay on her good side and you'll be fine.

Dr. Hale is the best! I previously hated and was terrified of speaking in front of people, but she really gave me the knowledge of how to overcome that fear. The class was difficult; however, the effort is worth the rewards. If you want an easy "A" this is not the class for you. Class attendance is mandatory. Meetings in her office were helpful.

She is a horrible teacher, I couldn't say enough bad things about her. Her test are not relative to speach. The last test had this exact question,"Find the average 100+200+400+300+1000" Why the hell is that on an oral comm test? She gives you insane assignments. She picks favorites, and they will ALWAYS get a better grade than you. DON'T TAKE HER

I would take this class if I had a major in some type of communications, but if you're taking it for a core class to get a gen ed, definitely NOT. The amount of work is very extensive for a speech class. I spent more time on her class than classes that actually applied to my major. And be prepared for a ton of research work for persuasive speech.

She was very helpful. Many times it seems she makes up rules as she goes along, but it is only because she has not told them to us before... they were always her rules. Her class will REALLY prepare you for the proper way to give a speech as far as prep work is concerned, but you have to be prepared to work!

Dr. Hale was very strict with her attendance... usually taking role 5 minutes before class started. It was easy to get an A if you were willing to do the work and study for the tests. It was a little bit loaded with homework, but she is clear with what she wants. If you do well, she likes to laugh.

This teacher is not hard if you study a little. I am a male and am easily making an A so the is not biased in any way towards men. If you think you should get an A for not working then don't take her. The work load that is required is normal for a comm class.
