Carolyn is a hard professor, but you leave her class with more knowledge about college writing than you ever thought you would have! I really enjoyed her classes and I enjoyed her as a professor. She is personable and extremely helpful. She just wants you to put forth the effort and makes you earn your grades.

She has published over 30 books and is the best writing teacher I have ever had. She is a tough grader that makes you earn your grades but if you put in the effort than you will be rewarded. Everything is related even if it doesn't seem like it at first. Do your best and you will get a good grade. Office hours are a must.

Hard grader. The best way to get through her class is to write well. This lady, small as she is, is tough. Go to see her and listen to what she is saying. It seems like gibberish, but she wants to teach you something. WRT 105 is the most failed class 1st semester, she will help you through it if you let her. Be smart and be nice.

Ugh. I did not like her. I thought I would get at least a B+ on my first paper. I ended up getting a B- in the class, which brought my GPA down even more. She cancelled a few classes because she wasn't there.

Overall I think people make her out to be worse than she is. Just read her BS assignments, listen to her opinion and you'll be ok. Just exaggerate everything you write, she likes the details.
