Comment:
I took 3720 this past semester. The whole course was taught through her opinion on the philosophers we studied--not what they were really saying. Her marking was inconsistent and extremely biased, although she used anonymous grading. If she did not agree with your argument, you were docked significantly, and the comments provided proved such.

Lectures are short and interesting for the class. Class attendance is a must. Asssignments were a bit hard, and essays are alright. Carolyn is a very helpful professor that is always willing to answer your questions. oh ya and no textbook required

Professor Mcleod is an excellent professor but is also very hard. If you want to get a good mark you have to put in a lot of effort including doing all the readings, which are a lot. She is very helpful if you go for extra help, and is also a very fair marker. Good if you are looking to learn a lot, bad if you are looking for a bird course

Great prof. Loved reproductive ethics. Fantastic experience. Although you may enter the class with strong opinions, this prof really makes you think hard about the other arguments and often I found myself feeling swayed about my judgments, which is not an easy thing to do. Really makes you consider why you think what you think!

Comment:
Reproductive ethics could have been a great class. However, while she has managed to get the class to keep their personal opinions outside and focus on issues, she has reduced real life ethical quandaries into mere arguments and totally ignores the human context. If you are interested in Ethical descision making stay away from this prof!
