I am now in an Ivy League Grad School and what I learned in her Phil. of Science class has helped me in lectures. She is moved when you understand her and go beyond the text, take her class and remember the teachings.

I enjoyed Figdor's class. People are on here bashing her, but most have no idea what a real philosophy class is supposed to be like anyway. You actually have to use your mind, not all good classes are easy classes. With that said, there were times when topics were unclear, but that is to be expected with a topic like this. Received an A.

Prof. Figdor is very helpful, almost too helpful as she tends to spend too much time on one topic if someone doesn't understand. She outlines the notes for every class. Her grading is rather easy and fair but you have to keep up with the work throughout the semester. Her classes aren't the ones where you could just cram before the exam.

Horrible professor who manages to make interesting topics BORING as fark. She can't even explain some of the theories herself. The entire philosophy department is corrupt, cliquy and brain dead. Accept THAT premise, morons.

Really interesting material. Shes a good teacher,just got her PhD. Really knows her stuff and generates interest in the class. Grading is very fair and simple. Make sure you go to class and take notes. Midterm and Final are based on notes. should be able to get an easy B, and A if you work hard

She definatly knows her stuff. Easy B class as long as you take notes. Materials a little out there but as long as your open minded its interesting. Tests are straight forward

Not bad. Curves good. Allows one 3*5 index card. So allows to cheat officially. Just don't fall asleep in the class and you will be fine for it. Goodluck.

Figdor isn't too hard, but she's very boring. Grading isn't terrible, but she can be inconsistant and unfair when grading essays. But she always gives extra credit work which is a plus. Just take good notes and don't fall asleep and you'll be fine.

I had prof fidgor for intro to logic, and I think that she is the worst prof ever. She, herself as the prof had a hard time doing some of the work. She was very unfair when it came to grading.I wouldn't recommend taking her.
