you actually buy 4 separate reading books (not txtbooks) first 2 are kinda dry. I took the hybrid so we only met one day in class she would lecture using ppt. Very clear kinda funny and very nice. She makes learning about language easy and fun. exams and quizzes are all online. Recommend for students stocking up on units

Good teacher. She's very nice and her outlines help A LOT. If you want a comm 307 class that has VERY LITTLE math then take Catherine. We weren't even tested on the math portion at all...just the terms of the math. Great class if you take it with her

She is the best teacher EVER! I enjoyed her humor and her helpfulness. This class is going to be very helpful to me in the business world. There are 2 individual speeches and 1 group speech. They can be scary and difficult but you become more confident and learn so much as time goes on. The tests can be hard but not if you study.

She really is very aware of her students which makes her an excellent professor. I would take any class she teaches. She's also nice and very respectful of her students. She knows her stuff. The only thing is that I wished she taught more because at the end of the class it was basically all group work and such. But she's cool!

Extremely boring class, but the professor is really nice. Honestly, it's a super easy class but I didn't learn anything b'cause she hardly taught us anything. We had a few group discussions and that's it. Want to pass a boring class in an easy way, take her!

Great professor to have! Always willing to help students! All you have to do is two speeches, one group speech, two quizes, two exams and before the exams she gives you the advance organizer ahead of time, from there the answers are all on the textbook. Her exams are mutiple choice! I got a "B" in that class! I learned a lot from that class!

I had Brooks for 412 and saw that she was teaching 334 and quickly added. She challenges her students, she does not just feed you the answers. I have zero complaints. She will be a professor I will always remember. I definately encourage students to take 334. You learn a lot of valuable information (RESUME BUILDING!!!)

She works with you and if the schedual of what we are doing needs to change she is more than willing to work with the class to fix it. i loved coming to this class every day. the paper took some time to write, but we did some fun activities and had some good talks in class about gender, race, and culture. we had films and a guest speaker too. her requirements were clear and we followed the schedule for the class perfectly.
