Comment:

Dr. Schmidt was a great piano teacher! She helped me pass my proficiency with flying colors! She has interest in students (if you come to class and practice) and she is so supportive. She wants students to excel, but only if the student itself wants to excel. If you care, she'll care. 10/10 recommend.

I find that she is a good teacher just disorganized. She knows how to teach piano. I also had her for Mus 298. That one i kind of hated because it was all about reading the book and then class discussion. I find that she is friendly and is willing to help you if you ask.

Whatever, I like her. I think she does some really helpful things. She's unorganized but understandably so, she's incredibly busy. She just needs a break sometimes. Music kids are hypocritical here- they want her to be perfect on deadlines but expect her to be lenient on when they turn things in. Understand her and she'll understand you.

She never knows where she is. She'll run around, talking to herself, complaining about how much stuff she has to do (people need to remind her to eat lunch). Has no time for anybody and needs to chill the heck out. Also, likes to run her mouth about students she dislikes (with fellow students in unavoidable hearing range). Disgustingly awful.

I wish I could have had a least one more semester of elementary methods. She really knows her stuff and really wants future teachers to be well-prepared when they enter the field. There's a lot of work to do in her classes, but it's all worth it!
