Excellent teacher - laid back; great talker. The accent is New York all the way, Poughkeepsie, no less. Ask her. Wants her students to succeed and will do whatever it takes, but you have to ask. Class is mandatory. Tests are fine if you study. Will take her again.

Great intro teacher! She relates VERY well to students and truly cares about how we're doing in class by asking for suggestions and what she can do to help. The tests were a bit tricky, but there are easy points to balance those out. If you apply yourself and put in the time, you'll be just fine.

Great teacher. Likes what she is teaching, and tries to get the class involved. Sometimes she has dry humor and she reads off the powerpoints, but she has some interesting stories that make you pay attention. Attendance is mandatory every day, and i suggest reading the textbook for the 3 tests [no final during finals week]. Suggest you take her!

Doctor S is my girl! I love her, her class is very good and is an easy A if you actually attend class. I've actually learned a lot from her and I love my TA. Since you have to attend the work is simple since it is all in class assignments anyway. I would definitely recommend her!

I had her for psych 101-103. She is a lot more work than other classes, but this is because she assigns busy work such as in class assignments and notecards that are essentially free points if you do them. Tests aren't too bad, and are pretty closely related to the review sheets. I thought it was a pretty easy A. definitely can get a B easily.

I loved Dr. Strathern, I thought she was an amazing teacher and I am even taking another one of her classes this quarter. She will help out any student that needed help. If you do the work you will do well. Those people that said she was bad obviously do not know what good teaching is, or they just hate all teachers that dont just give out grades.

Very easy and interesting. Shes nice and helpful. The class has 3 exams, all from blackboard notes--just re-read the notes and you'll get an A. Mandatory Attendance and an observation study (which is a joke). I highly recommend this professor.

I took Dr. Strathern for 102 and 103, and got an A both times. She's pretty easy. she has a whole team of TA's, so grading is timely, and mine was pretty helpful. Her Jersey accent bugs me on occasions, but overall she is really nice, approachable, and clear of what she wants.

I took psych 102 & 103 w/ Dr. Strathern. Its not as hard as it seems when you look at the syllabus.Gives lots of opportunities for creditm gives no final or midterm just 3 test which are extremely easy as long as you read the blackboard slides and show up for in class assignments (which are easssy!) I recommend her.
