She is a very sweet and caring person and she will listen to you. I definitely recommend doing your homework before class and actually showing up. Otherwise, if you do all of your work and participate she will be amazing. I would 100% recommend her to someone.

Class has 4 exams and a final. Homework due before every class online. She is really funny but a lot of people don't get her jokes. You do need to study for her tests but as long as you're willing to do what's required you'll do fine

greatest human being ever. super sweet and really cares and wants you to do well. grades so easily. lots of opportunity to socialize during class, but I also learned a lot and actually improved my Spanish despite not really trying all that hard.

Please take her!!! She really cares about helping students learn and makes the class super fun. Class was A LOT easier than other professors' SPAN 122 classes because she really works with you to help you understand the content. She is the nicest and most caring professor I have ever had.

Excellent professor. If you want to learn Spanish, you should take her class. She explains things really well with plenty of handouts and review exercises. She is also very nice and has a great sense of humor. Highly recommended for those interested in learning the language.

Señora Crowe is a very sweet and funny lady. She wants you to learn and helps you any way she can. Advanced Spanish was a very hard class and was completely different than what I am used to, but it's not her fault the class is hard.

Puri is a super sweet professor. I've had her for 2 Spanish classes, and I plan on taking a class with her every time I get the chance for the rest of my college career. She genuinely cares. She wants every student to pass, but she is very strict about participation. If you don't speak up and put forth effort in class, you grade will show that.

I love Professor Crowe she is adorable and makes you feel good about yourself! Her accent is fun and she likes to enjoy class. Make sure you do the online homework, there are no notes in class or lectures really, its more discussion based and you get a participation grade so try and speak up at least once per class. It's a hard class so study.

Puri Crowe is such a nice and approachable person, and she always gives examples or explains concepts in another way to make sure you really understand the material. As for vocabulary, she tries to put it in the context of the homework readings you do, which helps. The homework can be a little tricky at times, but if you ask for help, she will help

She's really nice. There's a lot of homework and usually you learn the material at home by doing the homework and reading through the texts. Then, we discuss the material in the next class. She helps you review before tests and that's really helpful.

Love her! If you actually try and do the work (which isn't crazy) you will definitely make an A. She really wants you to do well and is not a tough grader. Intimidating at first as English is not her first language but is super helpful. Choosing to take her again for Spanish 209! Take Spanish with her!!

Profesora Crowe is, by far, my favorite professor at USC to date. She genuinely wants you to do well and is willing to work with you if you put forth effort in the class. She is funny and really cares for all of her students. She made the material seem so easy!

She absolutely HATES cell phones but never took off my grade even though she said she would many times for always using it. Barely passed the exit exam and she really gave me the A even though never studied for a single test.

Comment:

Cares very much about participation but is a very sweet lady. Very thick accent, she's from Spain and didn't move to the US until she was 30. She cracks jokes left and right (although you may not understand exactly what she's saying) her laugh is contagious. Would definitely recommend.

Love Prof Crowe! She is super sweet and funny. Hates cell phone use and encourages group/partner work daily. She is a pretty leniant grader. If you do the HW and take notes on it, you'll be fine in class. Really awesome teacher.

I loved Sra. Crowe's class! I learned so much Spanish in this class. There is online homework and some stories to read but the homework isn't bad. Sra. Crowe is really helpful and wants you to understand the material. I would definitely take her again because she is one of the nicest people I have ever met and is a great professor!

SPAN309 is overall a hard class. The director makes all the exams, so I can't blame Crowe for how difficult they were. Her quizzes are easy and grade boosters, but the exams were hard. She helped us out by adding points if she felt you deserved it. Very nice teacher though! I took another Spanish class with her after this one despite my grade.

Don't take this class. I will explain why: 1) she expects you to know everything as it is an advanced class, so she doesn't teach anything.(literally anything) 2)if you ask a question, without fail every time she will say "you should know this - get a tutor" 3) she's a tough grader. she is SO HARD. DON'T DO IT. i loved spanish BEFORE this class.:(
