The professor will respond to your emails promptly. Her class organizational skills are severely lacking structure. I took this class as an online class, and found it confusing. There are assignments not in sequential order; therefore, if I was not paying attention I would have turned it in late. Will help you if you do not understand her direction

I love this teacher as a person but as a teacher she needs work. The work she gives is soooo confusing. She grades it and gives you feedback that could be anything from a big problem to a small problem like where you put your name. Canvas due dates differ from syllabus but apparently the syllabus is the accurate oneeven though u submit it in canvas

Amazing on answering any questions about anything with the course. She is super helpful and organized and it is exactly what I would want from an online class. I would definitely recommend. Extremely quick on answering emails.

WORST PROF. EVER! Pretty ionic when she's teaching about how to teach. Very unclear expectations for assignments then grades very harshly. Quizzes are so vague and based on her opinion on which answer she thinks is the most correct. Our class was doing so poorly she had to change assignments. Took 1105 on campus and she was the same. BEWARE!!!!!!!!

Her quizzes and tests are difficult because the it seems like there can be multiple answers, but of course she'll just pick the one she thinks is right. It's like she makes them vague on purpose. Her lectures are okay. Nothing outstanding. At least she's kinda nice, I guess.

There was a decent amount of work but work was never the problem. She takes her own sweet time grading and replying to emails. I wouldn't take her online EDF class. Due to her untimely email responses I got extremely behind and confused with many of her assignments and directions, and am burned out on online classes now.

Cathy is a nice teacher. She is willing to help you but sometimes has a snarky remark with it. Her quizzes and tests are hard, multiple choice but TOUGH. Several group projects that can be very time consuming. Don't take this class with other classes you think will be hard or time consuming. I have taken her twice bc she was the only available one

She is passionate about teaching but goes off on tangets. I failed all threCANVAS quizzes and still got an A. So as long as you participate and go well on group projects sges really not bad at all. Shes pretty fun and quirky.

AWFUL professor. Seriously disorganized and not at all helpful. Don't ask for explanations, they wont come on time and you wont understand them. She can be very rude to her students also. Grading is obnoxious, fill out all forms and assignments completely, even the things that are obvious and not needed.

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. She is disorganized and gets off topic all the time. Her "lessons" had zero relevance to the quizzes. Quizzes where opinionated and answers rarely can be found in the book. I managed to get an B because of attendance and extra credit. If education is a field you are seriously considering do not take her class.

This class was absolutely ridiculous. She talks to her students like they're in 3rd grade and has unrealistic expectations for her assignments. Tons of group work in class and she is so weird. I took her only because she was the only professor at SF teaching this course. I barely passed the class because she wasn't specific about due dates.

Unfortunately there aren't a ton of options when it comes to teachers for this course of study. I HAD to take Cathy Swan. If you end up having to take her class, be ready for an unorganized, off-topic prof with quizzes that make NO SENSE. I literally have to email her every week about something she did wrong or didn't include. For gods sake run.

For the sake of all things Holy run. You're wasting money and time if you don't take these comments seriously if you're an Elementary Education major switch schools. Worst teacher ever. For the sake of your grades in this class...take someone else! my dog is smarter than her. You'd be better of teaching yourself than taking her.
