Cathy is a great teacher I think! I had to take her for my Responding to Emergencies course and as long as you come to class, stay off your phone during her class, cover your mouth when you yawn, and be respectable, she is easy to get along with! I'd recommend her to anyone.

Cathy is a tough woman. However, I think she is hilarious. She has a dry sense of humor, so she gives off the wrong vibe. As long as you pay attention, participate in class, and cover your mouth when you yawn, you can get through the semester. However, I will probably never take her class again.

Cathy expects her students to show up to class, pay attention, be engaged, be prepared for class, do their assignments & learn the material. Not much to ask of a student. Struggling with the material, just ask for help she will work with you. If you want a fun, engaging, HIGH ENERGY instructor that makes you work, Cathy is for you!

I took MOD 1 Responding to Emergencies with Cathy. She is tough! Best advice is to plan your schedule specifically, DO NOT BE LATE! She will kick you out, or worse berate you in front of other students. Attendance was a must, though an online course, 7 labs were required to attend. Overall easy class, terrifying instructor.

Please do not take her class. She is extremely hard to please, and very very rude. She made me cry on several occasions because she would blatantly make fun of me in front of the whole class. I would NOT recommend her to anyone. If anything, take Kim Davis. I have heard awesome things about her.

My biggest complaint with her was how rude that she was. She was not necessarily a bad teacher but she was very rude and insulting. She insulted me several times for being a blonde. She acted as if I was stupid. I also had a friend who was on the cheerleading team and Cathy told her that she was surprised that she did not rip her shirt of inpublic.

Cathy is very tough. Be prepared to work very hard and get very stressed out if you take this class. She can be very rude, and sometimes I think she sometimes forgets that the students who are actually in her class need to be guided instead of pushed to their breaking point. It is likely that you will get an A as long as you do the work.

I hate her class every day she picks on someone and she has her favorites our class made a facebook page just to talk to eachother and see if anyone else could understand her. she doenst tell you when anything is due and our first test was standing up and saying what we basically read in the first chapter which wasnt even assigned. If you are serious about teaching, you really need to take her. You definitely have to show up to class everday, but if you do your portfolio and do the checklist, you receive an "A". She is a little difficult to handle, but she definitely prepares you for the teaching world!

She is really biased when it comes to favorites in her class and if she doesn't like you, she picks on u. The only thing we took a grade on was a portfolio, which she doesn't explain at all.
