Dr. Nelson is one of my favorite professors. I'm a psych major with hopes of one day becoming a professor, specifically an abnormal psych professor. His class was something I was very interested in and I always wanted to know more. I could go to his office and bug him with my questions and he did't mind one bit. Definitely recommend!

I hear he's more interesting if you have lab with him, but that's not the case for me. He is very boring to listen to in lecture (monotone). You will be teaching yourself the material and there's an exam once a month at least. Buckle down and get yourself a study buddy.

Okay, Professor Nelson is a great guy but his classes are less than desirable. I feel like i don't even need to show up to class especially since i cannot pay attention, he's soft spoken and i do not find this class interesting because all we do is go over theorists instead talking more in depth concerning the actual theories

Best professor at VU by a long shot. Teaches very well, cares about his students, and is always there to help. He's very intelligent and interesting to listen to. Highly recommend taking a class with him. My favorite professor.

Dr. Nelson is absolutely the nicest human being I've ever met. He's super helpful if you ever have questions he makes the material easy to understand and he invites you to his house to watch extra credit movies. Overall he's super precious and you should take as many courses of his that you can. He's also my advisor & great at that too!

He is a wonderful professor. I'm living in another country now, and benefitting from his cross-cultural psychology class. He's the kind of guy who invites his students to his house for a picnic. The man's gold. I definitely recommend him!! (Also an easy A, for those of you looking for that...)

Listen up I am alumni! Dr. Nelson is the greatest prof at Valpo. Not only was he my professor for many of my psych classes, but he was the best advisor a student could ask for; had it not been for Dr. Nelson I would not have completed my masters of counseling and be have gone on to my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Soak up all the knowledge that you can from him and you will go far in life!

Very very nice guy. His discussions are boring, but he's very nice. He is concern with how you are doing in the class, and the tests and quizzes are easy.
