She is a pretty good teacher. Tries to make interesting. Puts up good notes. Tests are pretty easy, but a hard marker on essays (which are worth a lot). Doesn't respond well to questions out of class time - takes a while to email back.

I really enjoyed her class, she is a great teacher and she tries hard to make her class exciting. And for those who complain about her being a "hard" teacher, DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS....YOU ARE IN UNIVERSITY FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!! If you wanted easy, go back to highschool!

OMG are you kidding me?! How could anyone say bad things about Cathy?! IM SO SHOCKED! Her class is soooo much fun! She's an awesome teacher! The only way you could do bad in her class is if you don't study(but isn't that with every course?). Overall, THE BEST INSTRUCTOR I'VE EVER HAD. One of my more interesting classes of the semester. Learning was way more interactive in this class - a good change from listening to profs speak while you take notes. It was made so that a lot of information was retained from class so minimal studying was required to do fairly well on midterms and the final.

She was a good teacher but she gave SO much work that it was impossible to get everything done well. She gave two midterms and a cumulative final exam and if you didn't write exactly what she wanted then it was completely wrong. She was nice and clear, but the exams and assignments were hard.

Dry and unexciting, both the subject and the prof. She did very little to try and make it interesting. Any help given was vague. Her sense of humor is poor at best. Not as worldly as she thinks and it shows.
