Dr. Kaufman is the only reason I still have a chance at graduating as an engineer. His explanations are amazing and he really gets involved with all the students to help them UNDERSTAND the material. I have had Dr. Kaufman as a lab instructor several times and I always go to him for help because he really knows how to explain things to students!

I took ECE 372 with dr. Kaufman in the summer, Its a long tough course but he does a great job at breaking the material down into sections and thoroughly explains them. Hes a fair grader, although the class isnt cake. Show up, participate, do your labs and go to his office hours office for help, hes very helpful and youll do great. Fair Grader.

This was my 3rd class with him, the other 2 were labs. I found in the other 2 classes that i learned more in his lab than the other professor's lectures. He is kind of weird and takes getting used to, but after the kirks, you will find he is smart, gives good analogies, and is actually kind of funny, in his own weird sort of way.

One of the best prof at umd. I think he is underrated by the department which is sad because the department thinks that other prof teaches better than him . He lectures really good and VERY helpful . Take him and do your work you'll get an A .

Professor Kaufman is one of the best ECE professors in the program. No one is willing to help life professor Kaufman. He is the Muhammad-Ali of 273. He does his best to help and gives great feedback, take as many classes as you can with him. He makes the Engineering Experience really great.

This prof is so bad. He honestly can't teach, and he doesn't want to. His lectures are pretty useless, he doesn't explain things well, and whenever I went to him for office hours for help or clarification, he basically just yelled at me that I was stupid for not understanding. His exams are just as hard as other profs, only he'll curve the grades.
