Dr. Price is a great entertainer, which is (sadly) why people love him so much. He's always willing to fish for laughs (sometimes at a student's expense). When it comes to teaching, however, he's below average--difficult to follow and tests over obscure details. If you want to really learn Materials Science, I highly recommend Smay.

Even though he seems difficult and eccentric, he is a great guy at heart. Show that you love the subject and he will remember you and help you. He is very British in many ways, but I enjoyed him as my advisor back in 1993-4. Was a pleasure working with him. He does ackowledge hard work. Cheers.
