Cecile is very clear about the grading criteria. Do all the HW, go to her office hours and be nice, then you will get an A. Some people complain that she's not fair, but those are the ones that do not show up to class and do not do the work.

Professor Danehy's class is truly French emersion and helps you to develop the basic foundation to build a strong understanding of the French language. Every class the class is spoken in more and more French. She gives homework every class and a lot of it,not including the hour or more of audio that needs to be listened to everyday.

She's a great professor. She's really nice and if you don't understand her, it's no problem at all to ask her to repeat herself or ask her to explain in English. She is a fair grader. I would totally recommend her classes.

Great professor. She's very witty and smart. French itself can be difficult but with her class she teaches the class very well. I understand more material when she teaches it. Meeting during office hours are very helpful.

Anyone who rates her badly just didn't try. She expects you to work hard, but she really knows french language and literature. She's French but she speaks english better than most of the class! She's excellent.
