I was disappointed in my grade for this course because I felt I put in more work than my grade shows. The class was fun and very informative, I learned a lot, mostly through discussion. Would recommend for people looking to broaden their scope of sexuality and gender norms. Very good teacher.

One of my favorite teachers on this entire campus. She's fabulous in every way. She really values what you have to say and is helpful in every which way. She is now the head of the English department and with good reason. She's super easy to approach and has a really lively personality.

Cecilia is awesome! She has great insight and really knows what she's talking about. One pet peeve about her class is that she tends to state her opinions as if they're facts, giving me the impression that she didn't welcome contradictions. But overall, great professor. If you're an English major you have to take at least one of her classes.

Cecilia is awesome! She may have a tendency to play favorites at times, but she really is an AMAZING instructor - and woman. She isn't afraid to speak her mind and that makes all the difference! She can be a tough grader and expects you to try your best. Overall, love her. You must take one class with CKF in your time at St Kates!

Comment:

She always brought up different ways of looking at a text many of us thought we already knew by heart. Challenged us to work hard every week and still managed to add an element of fun to class. Enjoyed the freedom we had with our final projects, it really allowed us to play to our strengths. Amazing professor!

I had the opportunity to travel Italy and France with her with her J-term course. She created an atmosphere for the students that was open, fun and allowed the maximum of culture and history to be absorbed from our destinations. She is a professor and friend who lets no one off the hook until they dig deep and work hard. Tough but fair and FUN!

I took intro to literary theory and research with her and the reason why i took lesbian lit with her was because i'd had such a good experience before...i don't know what happened, but i saw a side f this prof that i didn't like. she has her favorites and her grades fell accordingly. Ok so I think I have taken 6 classes with the world's greatest professor, but I also got to travel to Italy and France with her!!! She challenges her students to think of idea's and topic's in a new way. She's so supportive and I won't have made it through college without her wonderful, positive and once again her fantastic personality!!!
