Dr. Chauhan isn't the most exciting professor, but if you put in effort the class is very easy. She goes over examples to help students understand concepts and moves through material at the right pace. She's very professional and treats students respectfully. She's a very particular grader, but once you figure out what she wants, it's not difficult

Comment:

Chauhan does a great job of making class engaging and interesting, even for a dry subject like stats. She encourages a lot of class participation. Grading was straight forward and fair. The textbook is required, but reading it is not as helpful as reviewing lecture notes. Overall the class is pretty easy, as long as you put a minimum of work in.

I loved this class, and really enjoyed this professor. She gives plenty of examples and is always willing to answer questions. She requires participation from everyone, but she won't make you look dumb if you're confused. She also explains what the numbers mean in the context of the problem which is helpful. I would take her again.

She does a pretty solid job of breaking down topics, and if someone seems to be struggling, she is ready to help immediately. Very approachable so if there's any issue, feel free to visit her during office hours. She also really values participation in class, even if it's just nodding in agreement.

She gives great examples and really explains the material. You are allowed a notecard for the tests to write whatever. The tests are fairly easy, but she tends to be picky on answers and will take points off for seemingly random stuff. Could also be a little mean, but was usually nice if the class payed attention.

She has a unique teaching style that I really enjoyed. She likes to prove each fundamental equation step by step for the students to gain a better understanding. For each test we were allowed to have a note card (front and back) with notes on it. Her pace is fairly slow but after each section everything is very clear.

Very smart professor. Sometimes forgets, that we the students are not as smart as she is. Rarely gives partial credit. Very strict with work. Homework is suggested but never graded which is a waste of time. Over 90% of your grade is based on quiz and test scores. Tough teacher must really study to do well in this class.

I thought she was a nice person and a very fair teacher. Staying current on what is happening in class is a must. The exams are tough, but you get to bring a notecard. She takes your best 4/5 quizzes, but participation/attendance are worth around 6% of your grade. I would recommend her if you are willing to do the work; then it will be an easy A.

She has an excellent teaching style, however, if you miss one class, you may feel very lost. Takes things really slow at the beginning and by the middle of the semester things start picking up. She asks frequently if you have any questions. If you email her about meeting in a short notice she is pretty good about meeting.

By far the worst prof I have ever had! Never finishes examples in class and test over stuff that have never been done in class. And I even attended every class and did every homework she assigned (which is pointless by the way). I have never failed a class and have a 3+ gpa and her class was probably the first I failed (and I'm a math major). Shoot yourself now if you have to take her. I'm sorry!

DR C is a VERY good teacher. She takes more time than any other professor, if you ASK for help. She posts her office hours and really is happy when students show up. The class is hard. You HAVE to study and attend to pass.
