Bock was one of the best teachers I have ever known. I enjoyed all his classes and hope I can be nearly as good a teacher as him. He made you work, but you learned. He is an inspiration.

Bock was the best teacher I ever had, and he will be missed. He set the bar high, and you worked for your grade, but I LEARNED how to learn instead of just learning how to sneak through the next test.

If you don't like History, don't take him. Why in God's name are you going to lecture and then assign reading, but pull the test out of thin air? Acts like he wants his students to do well, but for the very few that know every little detail about history.NOT EVERYONE IS A HISTORY MAJOR, BOCK!!!

I would not be a professor today were it not for this man. He showed me what loving a subject and loving knowledge can do for a person. I will be forever in his debt. His is a vanishing breed. However, I model my class after his--to challenge, not talk down to my students.

One of the hardest teachers I ever had. The best teacher I ever had. Bock made you think, made you question, and he gave the best lectures. he was damned tough, but I think he was fair. I will miss him greatly.

VERY HARD CLASS. PLAN TO HAVE NO LIFE-OR OTHER CLASS WORK IN OTHER CLASSES IF YOU TAKE THIS. HE WAS A GREAT TEACHER, BUT HIS EXPECTATIONS WERE SET TO HIGH.

If you want an easy grade bock isn't the teacher for you. You have to work hard in his class. I studied my ass of and still only got a B+. However he is the man. His lectures are very interesting, and I couldn't imagine missing one of his classes.

All these bad comments are probably just a gang-up attempt by someone that couldn't cut it in class. Bock is a great teacher with an awesome sense for historical perspective and a great sense of humor. He's one of the best teachers in this school.

He teaches Western Civ and he's probably one of the most challenging, yet thought provoking teachers in the whole school. He's the only teacher I've had that's been able to keep my ADD brain focused the whole class.
