Comment:

The worst professor at Delaware County, do not take his course you will not get above a 60%. He does not help with homeworks and he claims to curve the tests but he doesn't. Our class started with 35 people and dropped down to 7 by the end of the semester. I highly advise not to take this course if you have never had previous knowledge of accouting

This was easily the most difficult class I've ever taken. What is taught during his lectures varies greatly from what is in the text book. I spent roughly 6 hours in this class weekly + 20 hours reading/studying outside of class. I would not recommend him to anyone.

If you're looking to learn accounting without any prior knowledge, you've come to the wrong professor. Showing up to his lectures is almost pointless. All course work is entirely based online and self taught. The only reason to attend classes is for pop quizzes. Would not recommend.

Prof. Carmen definitely is not a bad guy. Just kind of a boring guy teaching a realllllly boring subject. Be ready to teach yourself alot of the stuff if you do take him.

Well, he's a little tough and a little crusty, but he's really good. You're going to read, you're going to do a lot of homework, his tests are tough but if you put the work in, you're going to learn. He does award extra points, so a curve is there. If you're leaning towards majoring in accounting, take him. He's a CPA and more than willing to help.

The online course is self taught basically and the online WileyPlus book is awful. It sure knows how to pump out the questions but provides little or no example or answers to any of the problems. You can do the problems but someone has to grade it and Professor Carman nor me has the time to scan and send problems back and forth. Tests hard

Ugh. I am pretty sure he thinks his students take only his class. Lots of work, occasionally difficult to understand since the only explanation provided is the textbook's, etc. Also, DCCC's choice of accounting textbook is pretty horrible.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER! I would never take him again or recommend him. He doesn't answer questions thoroughly, and sends rude emails, but doesn't offer any help. He doesn't teach anything - he just posts assignments and is condescending and unhelpful if you answer incorrectly. I don't even have enough space to say how bad he is - DO NOT TAKE HIM!

I loved him! His class was really difficult but was always willing to help! Always emailed me back in a timely fashion! As long as you care and take the time to listen, you will be find! Material is very difficult though!

This class does seem similar to an online format. Homework and tests(open book) are completed online. Material tested on is straight from the book. He isn't the most interesting lecturer, but it is accounting. I am enjoying the class so far. No complaints.

He does teach it like an online course. His tests are on webstudy and often vary highly from the textbook and classwork. But he does make sure to adjust grades to have about a 75 average so have no fear a curve is here.

Pretty nice guy maybe a little too nice with some of the girls. Im a guy and found it kind of creepy. Was helpful when you had a smart question but when you were floundering you were in alot of trouble. Definatly a sink or swim course. Tests were extremely hard but you could use the book on them. Not that it helped a ton.

I took this class online because I work full time, and it was almost a second full time job to keep up with the reading for this class. tests are very difficult but besides that you have to work your butt off for a C. Teacher was helpful when needed. Just a very time consuming class.

had him for accounting 100, really nice guy, very understanding and helpful if you're struggling, which i was. wouldn't recommend the course if it's not necessary, but it's very easy to pass if you do all the homeworks (never has to be right, just attempted). tests are a bit hard though.

The material is interesting and if you do the work the class is pretty easy. Make sure you stay up to date with the weekly assignements it is very easy to fall behind in the work, and even harder to catch up once you do! Also he loves attention, so email him or ask him questions to feel involved even though its an online course!!! nice guy though!
