I have taken this class with him 3 times already and have yet to pass. I like him as a person and I learn a heck of a lot in his class because I'm very interested in music history, but he has this ridiculous grading policy that makes things very difficult. Take the class with Joe Nocella. He is awesome.

As a person, Mr. Gelese is very nice. He is generally a good teacher, although he expects too much from his students and seems to be easily frustrated by their mistakes. I think the class would go a lot smoother if in the prereq's it suggested some basic music theory knowledge.

Galese is cool w/ me...altho he duz play favorites (i just happen to be a fave of his, so it don't bother me, lol!) He's willing to talk to you and help u if you need it, and he spells out what's gonna b on the tests

This guy plays favorites. His class is easy, but, he's way hard on you if he doesn't like you. He is way too much of a perfectionist for an intro class. He also thinks way too highly of himself, when he really has no reason to.
