Great professor. If you want an A though, you need to show up to every class, write down everything he says, and outline the essays before test-day. Doing all of this gave me an A in the class. You can tell he really knows his stuff, and is interested in what he's teaching. If you're up for a challenge, you'll learn a lot.

He is nice and willing to discuss things one on one. Simply show up and pay attention. Write everything down. No matter what do not take this class first semester of freshman year. You have to know how to study first. All tests the are ridiculously hard. Pay attention and memorize all the stuff. Craft your essays before the test.

A very good professor, would highly recommend. Do take detailed notes, however. Examples are very useful on the test. Skim the book and find useful examples in the book to provide on exams; this will help your grades. Defiantly show up. He is very amusing and funny and is willing to help, especially if youre preformating an essay before the test

This class is very difficult, but if you have a computer or tablet that you can take detailed notes on, you should be fine (I would not suggest trying to hand write). He is a very good lecturer, so printing out your notes before an exam and re-reading them as many times as possible is helpful. The book also helps for clarifications.

This is hard. If you know examples of each thing on the essay you will get a solid C. Go to class and write notes otherwise you're screwed since he expects you to understand everything. This class is all lecture and 3 tests determine your grade.

You have to show up for this class to pass. He co-taught this class with Professor Kelly and the class is all lecture. The book was helpful if you didn't understand what the lecture was about.

Great class. Easy instruction, interesting material, but the book (contrary to what he says) is NOT needed. Show up to class and you will be more than fine.

This class was sooo awful...It was an interesting class but he just ruins it. Grade is based off of 3 tests only and are crazy difficult....I never want to take a class for him again. If you are smart take this class over the summer I heard there is an equivalent at some community college. This class is MUCH harder than 209!!

EXTREMELY, I REPEAT, EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. BUT, with that said, a really, really good class too. I've learned so much since I've taken it, but I certainly didn't do very good on the tests. Hurt my GPA, but I'm very glad I took it. Crazy structed, makes for very structured notes and a bit easier study time; but test compensates for that in difficulty

This class is co-taught with Dr. Kelley, and it was a very hard class, especially for a 100 level. Your grade is solely off of 3 out of 4 difficult exams (dropping the lowest). I usually hate history but I found the material somewhat interesting for once, but the class is still VERY hard. Recording the lectures is a HUGE help & may get you a B.

Dannehl is very nice and very intelligent. Notes are very structured and very detailed. Pay close attention to the readings and study A LOT. Tests are hard and very detailed. He really expects you to know the material and be able to draw conclusions. However, it is not impossible to get an A!

Excellent professor as long as you do your part. If you choose to skip class, shirk on the readings, or just remain obstinate, then do not expect that great of a grade.

Dannehl is a quality teacher. He's very soft-spoken and friendly. But, he is very passionate and serious in class. If you want to get an A, go to EVERY class, pay attention and take good notes. This is not a blow off class. If you miss class, you will have no chance in hell of getting an A. The grade is based off three tests. The final is easy
