Dr. Elder is an exceedingly gifted, if rather ceremonial, professor whose wry humor is an absolute delight to all students who are invested in the subject matter. It is truly refreshing to have a professor who does not cater to the average campus indolent. He closed the class with a quote from Abraham Lincoln! He is truly an asset to my education.

Absolutely terrible teacher. Rambles for three hours. No interaction what so ever. This is a joke that this is a graduate class. Subject matter could be interesting and engaging, but sense this guy wrote a book in 1983 he thinks anyone elses opinion doesn't matter. Again a frustrating joke.

Great teacher. Really long and boring lectures that a kinda hard to follow, but he will gladly explain anything you question him about. Easy tests, he gives you a study guide. Really knows his stuff.
