He is one of the best teachers I've had. He is clear and if you don't understand he is willing to sit down and show you. One thing to criticize about him is that he jumps to conclusions before you tell him what you need, which isn't really a problem. He is also very invested with his students and wants to get to know them which I enjoy a lot.

THE NICEST GUY EVER! Every teacher should be like him. He is so laid back and nice! I want to take another one of his classes just so I can have him for a teacher again! Everyone should take a course by Gary Wilson. He is also a great artist!

I took several of his classes 20 years ago, and found him very helpful. I am a painter, and he works with clay, but much of what he taught stuck. In a world where artists are increasingly atheistic, Mr. Wilson holds true to his beliefs, and this is very refreshing. I try to create works where viewers do not say "so what."

Mr. Wilson has a way of opening your mind. At first you think what you're doing in his class is silly, but at the end you find yourself not wanting to leave his class. He is highly intelligent, but not pompous. He wants to share with the world what he knows and the path that will get you there. My favorite professor so far.

His class was Ok, but he needs to spend less time talking about his own art. I appreciate he believes in himself, but "those who can DO, and those who can't teach" fits here. So you think you have your own "style" that's fine, but it's not a successful one, nor is it appealing. Nice enough guy, though.

I took a few classes from Mr. Wilson 17 years ago. Looking back he was by far the most influential profs I ever had. He cares about his students and his passion for art is just wonderful! Mr. Wilson is one of a kind and such a joy to learn from!

Professor Wilson is, in some ways, the ideal professor. If anything, take his Art Appreciation class just to listen to him speak. It's an easy A, and you will meet a great man in the process. Though I'm usually put off by very religious educators, his depth, honesty and intellect put me in awe. Great class, great teacher, minimal work.

Wilson is so awesome. Attend class, and take good notes, then his class is easy. Do your notebooks before the night before they are due, it takes a lot of stress off of you. The tests are easy, he lets you have a 3x5 notecard to write anything you need to. I love him in a teacher-to-student kind of way.

This man has the personality and niceness of Al off the show Home Improvement. Mr. Wilson is a very easygoing guy with some of the greatest perspectives on how to teach. Even if you’re not going to be an art major there’s nothing to fear from this class. All due to the fact that even if your a novas, this man will give you the basis to make a skyscraper of possibilities of the drawing art. I highly recommend him for any needed art credit.
