Dr. Gattone is the best professor I've had at the University of Florida in all four years I've been here. He is so soft spoken, caring, and compassionate. His lectures are so captivating and he is very insightful. This class is actually extremely interesting and useful for your everyday life. BEST CLASS and BEST professor.

He's really adorable and super approachable. The class is not hard, you just have to put in the work. I honestly enjoyed the course and I typically don't enjoy any course.

The material isn't difficult but don't fall behind. Attendance is mandatory (and necessary to do well on exams), there are weekly small group assignments, and one group project. Dr. Gattone's lectures are great and the readings are thorough. Show up, take notes, and you'll be fine.

Gattone was an amazing professor! This is the first review I'm writing and it's because he's the best professor I've had my 4 years here. The class isn't an easy A, but he is so helpful and structures it in a way that it's easy to pass and do well if you just do the work. DONT MISS CLASS! Attendance is mandatory and can really make or break you.

Best professor for Theory! He's very nice and willing to assist you if needed. The assignments are equally weighted, so you can still pass the class since there are only two exams. Discussion sections are a must to go to since they will help you further understand the theorists covered in class. Take him!

He really cares about his students and will work with you to help as much as he can. He's passionate about the subject and explains it well. He has many equally weighted grading categories so that tests don't determine your grade. If you need to take theory, I would highly recommend Gattone!

He is very sweet and understanding but extremely boring to listen to. His class was very boring. You need to attend class bc he gives weekly quizzes and in class assignments. His tests werent too hard, overall I was happy with him as a professor, would reccomend.

Took his Sociological Theory class. The class I think is pretty easy. You have weekly reading and a reading study guide to do. You also have a weekly reading quiz which i felt was easy. You have a midterm multiple choice then a essay exam then a Final which combine the two. You also have a 5 page group critique to do. NOT A SLACKER CLASS.

Gattone is an awesome professor!! If you must take theory, make sure you take it with him!! The class is not extremely easy but I promise you it is not extremely hard either. Go to his office hours. Dr. Gattone's class is definitely challenging, but he is SO willing to help all of his students. He is really nice and very approachable. He is also incredibly accommodating. There are study guides, quizzes, and group work every week, which is good because they help your grade. He's also not bad looking :)

Great professor. Definitely take theory with him, and if you even have a slight interest in the media, take Media and Society, which he sometimes offers in the spring. There are mandatory weekly readings and quizzes in all of his classes but for the most part they are really interesting and he makes the material fun to learn. He is SO approachable

Prof Gattone is awesome. He's so smart, cute, soo nice. He's challenging but he wants you can tell he wants you to do well. He doesn't over lecture but when he does they are great lectures. It is a discussion oriented class though so if you're super-shy, he might not be the best choice. Make sure to read for the quizzes!! Not a slacker class.

Dr. Gattone is one of the most caring professors i've ever had as a college student. His class is hard but he is always there to help and offer advice. His class is not easy, but he makes it as interesting as possible. He is definitely the best teacher i've had here at UF.
