Dr. Miller is retiring after this semester, but I wanted to rate him because I think he is a great teacher and deserves a better rating than what he has on this site. Dr. Miller knows his stuff and as long as you show up to class, actually pay attention to his lectures, and memorize the vocab like he tells you, you will do well in the class.

Class is tough. You have to read the lectures and know the vocab. His voice may make you fall asleep but he's a nice guy overall. I recommend this class. Go to the TA's review sessions!

Despite previous comments, he is not that bad. granted, his class can get extremely boring and his tone of voice doesnt help. but he is incredibly smart. He does all of his lectures off the top of his head. Memorize Memoize Memorize! know all definitions that are in the powerpoints, and read a little and you'll get an A. Half the test is vocabulary

This class is awesome. You learn a lot from the lectures but it is definitely necessary to read the chapters. The tests are not so hard and if you take the time study for them at least a couple of days. just read the chapters and def study vocab. he offers 10 points extra credit if you volunteer for 20 hours. the final grade is curved.

Prof is not as bad as they put him. I was apprehensive b/c of the comments but he is not bad. He is older and hard to understand but if you highlight what he says is important and READ the book the class isn't bad. 3 exams 30 ques and 10-12 fill in vocab which aren't hard cause he gives u the words. No papers 10pnt curve if u volunteer Got A w/o it

AWFUL TEACHER. I sat in the fron tand missed no more than four lectures the whole year and I still did poorly. He refuses to use a microphone, no one can understand anything he says. Very dry, no humor, uninteresting and unengaging lectures. I regret taking this class, especially with this teacher. Switch to someone else.

I was initially really interested in the topic but the professor kind of ruined it for me. He's really nice but older. I could barely stay awake. Its three tests, material comes from lecture and textbook, but he posts his lecture slides online so I just used those to study from. Curves so that most people get a B.

Horrible. I tried going to class but couldnt stay awake. I know lots of people who took it online and thought it was super easy. Hardest exams ever, harder than should be. Got a B+ and studied for each exam for atleast 10 hours. Avoid!!!

Wow. I loved psychology and then I had this guy. I found this class difficult and very boring. There were 3 exams, which were pretty hard and the extra credit did not help my grade that much. He is hard to understand which made the class even more difficult. Read the book and know the definitions. If I could do it again, I would take it online.

Honestly, find a different professor to take this with unless you enjoy useless powerpoints and boredom. I tried attending classes until I realized that my test scores significantly improved by skipping class and just cramming the text book. It's impossible to be engaged in this lecture. Don't go to class, read the book, study vocab, get an A.

AVOID THIS PROFESSOR IF POSSIBLE!he makes his class and tests much harder than they should be.There is no point to going to class because its impossible to hear a word that he says.in tests you NEED to WRITE OUT the definition of 10 random words from both lecture and book that he gives you. Take the class online if possible, everyone got As there!

This guy is hands-down has the worst public-speaking skills of any professor I have ever had in my life. He makes no effort to make the lectures interesting, so I have to live and die by the book and online slides. Three tests on 600 pgs of material . . . all three of which are ridiculous. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF AVOIDABLE!!!!!

This is a good class! He's a bit hard to hear but if you sit near the front and pay attention, you will do fine! Plus he shows videos once a week, always very interesting. Definitely recommend for all psych majors.

Trails off at the end of sentences. Sit in front. Attend class to catch what's not on the on-line power-point that he uses in the lecture. Skip sparingly, knowing that he might throw you a guaranteed test question in class. He knows his stuff, but hearing is a challenge.

His lectures are very boring but he posts the slides on the website. He is very helpful with anything you don't understand and offers extra credit worth like half a letter grade. He also seems to jump around a bit. Very nice though!

His voice is a little boring, but if you can manage to listen to what he says, it's pretty interesting. Class isn't mandatory, but I suggest going because the power points can be very vague. For tests- KNOW ALL DEFINITIONS FROM THE POWER POINTS. Try to read the chapters- but if you can't bear it, the chapter summaries are excellent. Get the book!

his tests are kind of hard, but he's very willing to teach and help students in his office hours. can be quiet and has a dry humor. he breaks down the outline of the test for you w/o actually telling you what material is covered. read the book and go to his lecture!

hard to understand at times because he tends to speak softer at the end of his sentences. sometimes his lectures are hard to follow. but he is still a decent teacher. TA gives good test reviews. test Q's are hard, but are mostly on lecture info he covers, so if you study the notes hard the tests wont be too bad. reading helps alot.
