He's, honestly, a huge jerk. The only polite thing he did for us was hold a review session for the final outside of class.

VERYY HARD GRADER! Sometimes if you re-write the same paper using his suggestions, he lowers your grade! Not a mean person, discussions in class can be entertaining if you participate. Do a lot of research papers- and again- VERY DIFFICULT GRADER- but if you go to him, he will help you.

Just hope that he picks you to be a favorite. fyi my dad has a doctorate degree and my mother has a masters degree and they both heleped me with a research paper..i got a D.

I liked him a lot and learned a great deal from his technical writing class. I'm not surprised that young people would rate him negatively. He is strict and old fashioned. If it seems like he is calling you out, it is for your own good... like the person who was saying she hated ****sexuals because they are evil and they don't deserve any rights.

I really enjoyed his Englis 239 class. I felt like he had command over the material, and appreciates literature as a whole. I feel that he spends time helping students who want to learn. Even though he's a strict grader, I feel that he's trying to help students improve. I found his lectures informative and interesting.

He is an old, pompus, cranky man. The key to not getting called on is to not look at him, and show no emotion at all. For any emotion you have, smile, frown, head shake, he will ask you why. He grades unbelievably hard. He also does whatever he can to embarrass anyone at any time.
