Dr. Charles was a pretty tough professor, but who isn't? He grades very hard and detailed. You must use quotes from the textbook and support your answers and must cite!!! You will get points deducted if you don't. He tried his very best to meet with us outside of class, but rarely responds to emails.

Comment:

He gave feedback on all assignments, but was very biased. He returned assignments back anywhere from 1-4 weeks later. He is disrespectful towards the students. If you can take another professor, do it. The work is very easy (I took it online) and I could look up all of the answers online. He is not tech-savvy and would open assignments late.

This professor is very lecture heavy. His lectures are pretty dry, but they all have great information. He does a good job of trying to associate personal stories throughout the lectures to make them more enjoyable and memorable. He is a little disorganized, but overall good.

I took him twice for EDUC classes. His test are fairly easy as long as you go to class and take notes. He is a fairly rude professor, especially if you are white or female. Just go to class, take notes, and study for the test, and you will do fine! Make sure you participate in discussions or his class will be very boring.

Dr. Jackson was a pretty easy professor however he is very disorganized and scattered brain. He took FOREVER to respond to emails as well. Overall I did not gain anything from the class it was just taken as an elective. The midterm and final were pretty hard considering we had little to no preparation for them.

I took this class online, and enjoyed it. As long as you do the weekly assignments and put some effort into them, you will do fine. The only thing I had problems with were the midterm and the final. He gives a study guide, but the questions are pretty hard. Other than that, I enjoyed the class & Dr. Jackson is a really nice guy.

Professor Jackson is a really funny guy, although going to his lectures was oftentimes kind of waste of time because of how off-topic he can get. He's an extremely interesting person and he gives very helpful study guides for his tests. He takes forever to give papers back, but he's a really light grader on those.

This class requires participation, so the more engaged your group is the better your overall experience will be. Nice, approachable, but frequently fails to reach a point. Uses LiveText and D2L but is behind the tech power curve (unfamiliar wOffice features). Slow to return papers, but few papers (APA). Provides study guides and lecture powerpoint

He is an okay professor some discussions are very interesting. If you have good classmates then the class is fun. He does takes forever to return paper, finals and grades. He's a nice guy. Take notes from power points, no study guides and read the book. Uses Live Text as well.

Excellent Professor. Truly cares about students and takes training educators very seriously. A lot of informal yet helpful/informational discussions. One of the best professors I have ever had. Would highly recommend taking one of his classes.

Participation is 10% of your grade- if you don't like to talk a lot, I wouldn't recommend this class. 2110 is very political and wasn't much fun for non-confrontational students, but the tests were easy and he grades the one required paper very fairly. Watch for online assignments! He won't tell you they are there!
