I took all 4 of my history courses with him. Killinger was awesome- gave you wonderful info and made you learn the material. His tests are tricky, but this is college and I expect to work for my grades. Got an A in all his courses. If you listen, take notes and study, he is not that difficult. He made me love history!

Dr. Killinger is great! His classes can be a bit boring, but hey, it's history- duh. He is helpful and his test are fair- if you study, else you'll end up with a D/F. Not for slackers or those looking for an easy A; however, if you study, you'll find it rewarding.

He is NOT cool. He has a temper and is not easy going. He was fair in grading and has an astonishing memory for history but I would not recommend him to anyone. He could be fun if he would only loosen up! He is very condescending although I never experienced it- he was RUDE to other students in class that were perfectly interested.

great professor. Just do your discussion postings, a few short writing assignments, and two easy essay style exams and you'll do well. Class is very easy to do online. His grading on the exams is VERY fair. I did great on them when I thought I had done poorly. Take this professor.

Professor Killinger is extremely boring. He provides alot of unnecessary information when lecturing and I feel as if he never gets to the point. I thought European History class was the problem but its he who puts you to sleep. Oh! and don't fall asleep in class or he will kick you out. Class is easy but his grading is unfair.

This class was very boring, but not very hard. Prof gives you a study guide that tells you exactly will be on the midterm and final. Just make sure to study all the terms. However, after the first test, you will know what kind of terms he picks. I did half the terms and essays and my friend did the other half. This made the studying easier.

He is demanding, but fair. Very knowledgable and funny. I, too, have taken 4 classes with him. Expectations are high, but clear. Not a class to goof off in. Makes history very interesting. Take him if you like history!

OH MY GOD. He is so boring. His lectures were entirely draining although vast in his knoweldge. He likes to talk so much that you cannot weasle a word in- and heaven help you if you try. Beware that his test is purely essay style and you must know 30 some odd terms of which 5 is picked for the test. He DISCOURAGES open class discussion.

Excellent professor, highly knowledgable, enjoyable lectures spiced with humor here and there. Really enjoyed the perspective of the world he introduced. If you are not an essay writer on tests, be warned there are only three grades that are the three essay tests which are easy enough.

I took him for AMH 2010 as well but I thought this part was a lot easier. There was definately less writing to do. The course is pretty straightforward and the professor is very cool. He gives extra time if needed. I would recommend him. I hear the other History professors are pretty mean.

I took his AMH2010 telecourse and it was a lot of work but very straightfoward and simple. His online course was pretty much the same except he almost tripled the amount of work you have to do. You have to do 2 discussion postings per week, 1 essay question per week, and 10 essay questions to study for the midterm and then again for the final.

Dr. Killinger is the best. Fascinating lectures, helpful study guides, plenty of lecture aids. An actual academic, Valencia really lucked out.
