I was extremely disappointed with the quality of this accounting "professor". He doesn't teach or convey information well (half the class failed the first exam), he wastes class time, he's incredibly boring...the list goes on and on. I will do everything in my power to not take any of his classes again.

His classes are pretty boring; I have been known to fall asleep a time or two during his lectures. However, he's overall pretty helpful and is willing to take the extra time to explain things to you if you're struggling. If you're a bit of a slow learner, I suggest him; otherwise, you're going to be bored out of your mind.

Was a tough class. He was fairly dull, but is a VERY nice man. I was glad to get out with a B as his teaching style could improve. But it was a good class and I like him as a person.

If you do not have any previous knowledge about the subject. do not take him. he is a nice guy and means well...but he is not that great at explaining things, so i would not take him if this is your first accounting course. i did fine in acc 205 because i had a previous class..but i know nothing about managerial accounting and i am doing bad :-(

WORST PROF EVER! DOES NOT TEACH, MUST GO TO OTHER ACCOUNTING PROFESSORS FOR HELP. TAKE OTHER PROFS!!! not a good choice for the head of the Accounting program. If you end up having to take him, tell your advisor to get you out!

DO NOT TAKE 205 OR 206 with Kirkland! This prof does not answer questions clearly, and he is a very poor subjective grader. Try and explain things your way, and he will say he understands your logic but he's not going to give you the points. He will always tell you to remember that "once the logic make sense it makes sense"

Not a bad professor. He doesn't grade homework, just whether you completed it, in-class assignment most of the time that is graded. he's very helpful if you ask him questions one-on-one.

I found him to be helpful. You just have ask him questions while everyone is doing In-Class-Assignments, or after class. If you keep up with the work and study, you should do well. Unless you are someone who hates accounting, but then no matter what, you will hate the teacher.

I thought Kirkland was absolutely worthless. The man has not clue what he is doing in there, conveys his points extremely poorly, and reminds me of a fat worthless Santa Claus impersonator and he would be better at doing that than teaching. I would like to see that fat slob get fired! He sucks!

Liked the guy a lot, though his lectures were a bit irrelevant to the course and the readings. Didn't have to work too hard, received a great grade and an awesome recommendation. Those who disagree didn't do the work and their grades reflect it!

First semester CORE, aced everything. Second time, with Kirkland (his first semester teaching) couldn't get a break. Boring lectures. Met with him personally to discuss portfolio, said it was "great"....got a B on it. Take someone else.
