Really interesting and engaging lectures. His grading can be hard, but with two rewrites at the beginning of the year you can learn his style of grading and you will get A's & B's. Lectures can get long, but they were interesting and his examples are funny!

He is understanding and helpful. He also does not hold it against you when you're late, his lectures are easy to sit through because he makes it interesting and keeps you involved in the conversation. He is not a hard grader but does expect participation.

I took PHIL 120 to finish off my gen eds and I wasn't expecting much. At first, the class seemed quite challenging. However, Geiman turned out to be extremely helpful in clarifying any concepts covered in the readings. He is an outstanding guy with incredible intelligence and a great sense of humor. He has to be one of my favorite professors.

This man is absolutely brilliant. I went from disliking the class a lot in the beginning of the semester and scared to talk during class, to feeling comfortable talking during class and always asking for clarification. This is now one of my favorite classes. He makes everything very relatable and easy to understand. He always tells it how it is.

This is not an easy class by any means necessary, but this has been the most rewarding class that I have ever taken. You do only received 4 grades in it, but you receive rewrites on the first two exams. Pay attention and ASK for help if you need it, he will not seek you out.

Geiman is an incredibly intelligent man. His discussions are very attention-grabbing. He is very knowledgeable about philosophy, so don't think that you can slip under his radar when it comes to writing a paper for his class.

One of the most level-headed and down-to-earth professors I've had. This guy is extremely intelligent and is great at making philosophy interesting and relevant. I agree that he's not afraid to shut you down, but some students (enthusiastic Freshman) definitely need to be kept in check. I took a number of his classes and enjoyed every one.

I found an online class with him @ Valpo a waste of time. He often went 20+ days without logging onto the class and didn't respond to student questions in the forum or to e-mails. Only 1/2 of the work handed in was ever graded. Grades took months to get, and came with only 1-2 sentences of feedback. I can't believe I paid so much for so little.

this guy is awful. ur entire grade is based on 4 exams which he doesn't even grade properly. he just writes a grade on the top with no rhyme or reason. nothing has any point value.
