I really like O'Neill! He does have a great sense of humor and his classes are easy to follow along! Thankfully, the Eng lit 1900 class that I took doesn't have any quizzes or exams. Just reading and writing! I would totally take his class again!

Charles is nothing short of an exceptional human being. He's a great teacher and father, bringing his mentally disabled son to class when we were reading Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men. He was just like Lennie and it was an effective elucidating exercise we all learned so much! I can't wait until next term when he will be teaching American Psycho.

Honors class. Easiest thing i have ever done. Based on SciFi and all we did was watch the twilight zone and movies. He also read the readings we were assigned for homework to us so we basically had no homework. We had about four papers to do, each 2-3 pages in length and the final paper is to make up your own sic fi story. Should be getting an A.

I've had him twice and I got an A- and an A, and I'm actually taking him again. He assigns 3-4 papers a semester and they are straight forward, creative writing pieces because he loves hearing how his students think and wants to help students improve. He often just reads stories out loud in class and is very approachable. He's one of my favorites.

One of the nicest professors anyone could have. In almost every class he read the required stories out loud and that's all we ever did in the actual class. We had 3 papers the whole semester and he is a very fair grader and will help you if you are struggling.

Dr. O'Neill will always be one of my favorite professors of my entire college career! He is so sweet and his dry sense of humor is hysterical! He even made Milton's Paradise Lost fascinating. Most of the time, he reads in class, which helps, especially with tedious books. He encourages creativity and finding your own niche in literature. Love him!

Fantastic teacher. Very helpful. Very funny. True, he does read to you... ALL the time but when he actually talks about the novel/poem/et cetera... He really knows his stuff. Don't take his "easiness" for granted. If you pay attention and do the papers you will have an easy semester with a good grade.

SNORE. Seriously, I love this man as a human, but I hate him as a professor. He needs to teach, not read.

Dr. O'Neill is a great professor who really cares about his students opinions on works of literature or media. While he won't agree with you on basically anything he is always willing to listen to his students when they speak their minds. His papers are mostly creatively based because he wants to know the inner workings of his students minds :)

He is easygoing and laid back, however, he has little patience and gets so annoyed when you ask him to clarify or explain more than once. I have a learning disability and he would get so annoyed when I would ask for help or tell him I did not understand the paper's directions. You cannot get annoyed because a student has a disability.

If you are looking for an easy class this is where to find it. i've taken a few English's with him and i'm signing up for more. Sure it gets a little boring sitting there, but he READS you the books. 2 papers a semester..do a good job on them and participate in class if you can! he's awesome!

He was a GREAT teacher. i love movies and he showed a lot of classics like Rosemary's baby, the birds, attack of the killer clowns and many others that made it an enjoyable class to attend unlike other boring english classes that were impossible and i dreaded. The best part was we only had to write 3 papers and 1 was a scary story that you make up.

Dr. O'Neill is a very intelligent, funny, and interesting professor. If you like to think and discuss those thoughts, he is your man. If you only care about your GPA and not necessarily about imporving your mind then go to BCC or RCC. Students who are rude and disrespectful will recieve poor grades.

Dr. O'Neil taught the importance of how to read a novel--and how to read it well. It's not a matter of "sucking up" to the teacher, but a matter of opening yourself up to the limitless possibilities of literature. Do what you have to do and he'l
