Solid. Presents with a very monotone voice so lectures are pretty boring. Enjoyable when students voiced opinions, which he liked. Goes over everything you read in class. I know many who never read assigned material and did fine. Somewhat tough grader considering it was a level 100, but not too bad. Gradequizzes, a few papers, participation.

I had him for my Sophomore Seminar. I thought he was great. He was very enthusiastic about the course material and he was very open to different interpretations of the text and we got to pick our own topics for the papers (which was fun). Don't let those other reviews fool you, his lectures aren't boring, his voice is just low and soft (lulling).

SO boring. Don't need to read prior to class because he reads everything to you. Has very specific answers he wants to hear in class so it's hard to participate. He just stands at the front of the class and talks the whole time. Picky about papers too.

I thought he was great; he is super helpful in and out of class. Do the readings and don't cut class. He puts in a lot of effort for his classes and he appreciates and will help any student who does the same. I would take another class with him anytime.

Very demanding professor, as he takes his subject material very seriously. I understand why some people may have a hard time with him, but if you show up to class ready to discuss the readings his classes are a breeze. He is also a stand up guy outside of class, definitely worth getting to know.

I found him to be very nice and he genuinely tried to be helpful. Although I think he often misunderstood me or what I was asking so I never really got the answer I desired. Irish Lit- He is a pretty strict grader, but he offers revisions. If you talk to him outside of class he is very helpful, he just makes you work hard. He is not creepy. I think he just has a lazy eye, he's not avoiding eye contact.

He is a little neurotic. You should be sure to stay awake and pay attention in class; he will call on you. Do the reading and look up words you don't know because he'll call you out on that. He really likes when you participate in class.
