I love Dr. Somerville. I've had him for several classes, and he is consistent with his teaching style in each. His tests can be tough, but that's because he genuinely wants you to learn something. He is very fair, friendly, and always willing to help outside of class even though he is extremely busy . . . Plus he's really nice to look at : )

Dr. Somerville is an all-round awesome guy. He's a great teacher and has the ability to really make the class interesting. I enjoyed every second of his class. He is an ethical professor that doesn't show favoritism. I have tons of respect for him.

This was a great class! He encouraged class questions and participation! His tests were totally fair. Powerpoint notes are the best guide to studying tests with an occasional glance at the textbook. I'm glad he's department chair of biology. I think he'll do some great things!
