very passionate about math. many seemed to act as if the class was hard but if you do the problems in the syllabus before class things are easy! hes a very nice guy and is more then willing to stay after class and help you as long as you show you want to learn! i recommend him he is probably my favorite teacher!

He has a good knowledge base but is not good at presenting and assessing the material in a way that allows success. He spends way too much time IN CLASS worrying about students personal lives outside of class and talking about pointless stories. The worst part was trying to prepare for an exam that was only over the last 5 minutes spent each day "going over" how to derive a solution to a problem. He expects failure so plan to live up to those expectations at some point in the semester.

Every positive comment about this man on this website has to be written by him. He was a true monster in class. He repeatedly singled out kids in the class, made a few girls cry during the class, and didn't even hand out the SOS forms that all teachers should. A lot of work that's never rewarding. I'd find a different professor if possible.

One of the worst professors I have ever had. Does 99% of work on his calculator and does not slow down when asked. I would strongly suggest people to take a different prof.

He's a great guy. He does spend a lot of time on the calculator, but he's very funny and helpful. He cares about each and every one of his students on a personal level, very accommodating and nice. I can't say enough about how understanding he is! Good teacher, take the class, but stay on schedule with homework (which isnt graded, but VERY helpful)

I hated this guy. He never gave us any homework to help us learn, gave quizzes all the time, and taught us how to use the calculator for the first two months. He also used some computer program we had no access to. I ended up dropping his class and took the CLEP test and passed despite not learning anything in there. DO NOT take him. Its pointless.

I SUCK at math and still managed to pass this class. He is very willing to help his students and is really a nice guy. He's not always clear with his teaching but anytime you ask him a question he tries his best to help. It's best to take this class with a friend so you can work on problems together.

Wonderful professor!! You will learn a tremendous amount. Put in the time and have a positive attitude about it. You will be engaged every day. He is a bit intimidating at first, but he really is a great guy and a GREAT teacher. :) I recommend him for students who are willing to work and open to being excited about math.

this class sucks. he teaches the class soley by the ti-inspire so if you don't like technology use, you're SCREWED. he also took a two year leave to create the worthless piece of crap...so it's his world pretty much. get ready for hell (literally). he made me cry almost every week.

Aweful. My problem was that he doesn't put homework in as a grade, so your grade is only based on exams and homework quizzes. I definitely do not recommend him especially if you have no previous experience in a higher algebra class. He's very blunt and honest.

I honeslty had to teach myself....friends of mine dropped the class...unless you know something about math I wouldn't take it with this guy. Not a fun class....be prepared to stay THE FULL SCHEDULED time. And go to the bathroom BEFORE class.

This professor holds biases against his students. He is an extremely tough grader and definitely belittles students. I asked him for an explanation on a problem I did wrong for a project and he pretty much called me an idiot for not knowing!! Do not take him if you have that option.

This guy would do well as a leader of geniuses, however, the common math person will do well to take someone else. This class will require you do work A LOT no matter who you are--asking questions is not very effective way to lear you must take the time to unerstand the material and should have a strong background in geom. He is nice though.
