I absolutely love this professor he is funny and sweet and caring and is very enthusiastic about the material he is teaching. The class is an easy A, attendance isn't mandatory, and if you show up to his study sessions you'll do well on the quizzes. Although I've always been interested in weather, he's made me want major in it.

Comment:

You can tell how much Weidman loves the material he is teaching! Class isn't mandatory, as long as you go to the review session he holds before each quiz you should be good to go... also, if you have a 90% in the class before the final then you don't have to take the final. If you do good on final it's worth 40%, if you do poorly its worth 20%

Comment:

Professor Weismann is a great professor. His lectures were entertaining and really interesting. He also gives students plenty of EC opportunities, so I recommend you take advantage of these. His quizzes might me a little tricky, but as long as you study for them with the study guide he provides. If you have an A you wont have to take the final.

Comment:

Professor Weidman is so funny and pure. I really enjoyed this gen-ed and it was so easy. I got an A in the class so I didn't have to take the final. I highly recommend going to his quiz reviews, the quizzes aren't too bad when you do that. He's the typically adorable old guy professor plus some of the material is interesting. Highly recommend

This was a gened and it was my hardest class I have taken yet. there are a ton of opportunities for extra credit but none of them actually affect your grade positively at all. Attendance is not mandatory, preparation for the quizzes is given but the class average is never above a 70%. Horrific class

This class was incredibly easy with a lot of extra credit opportunities. Attendance isn't mandatory but the experiments run in class are fun to watch. The class is based on points and it is up to you to do enough assignments to satisfy the amount of points required, but if you have an A you don't take the final.

Definitely not the EASIEST 170 but its not horrible. Getting an A is manageable but you kinda have to try. You can not show up for any classes except to take the quiz and to turn in papers and easily get a B. Only 4 quizzes aka tests and they arent the easiest. You only have to take the final if u have a B or lower. Would suggest if u wanna work.

Professor Weidman gives you the opportunity to test out of the final if you make an overall 90% before finals week. He gives you sooo many extra credit oppertunities and has all of his notes online. 4 quizzes one of them dropped

Everyone saying this is the easiest class ever is wrong. Students are able to see everyone's grades anonymously and they are atrocious. I will be getting an A but it is not super easy. He does give a lot of extra credit opportunities and concepts are relatively easy to grasp if you are willing to put in the time and the work

Easiest Get ed! All I needed to do for this class is write the 10 1-side-1-paper assignments (super easy) and take the tests. You should buy the class notes offered at the bookstore and make sure you go to the review sessions before the test. If you do that, you will pass easy. Prof Weidman is a great guy and funny too! Attendance isn't important.

Charles is such a laid back teacher. If you don't attend class, you'll probably fail. Go to class and take notes. HE DOES POST NOTES ONLINE! Class isn't mandatory but I go- super easy gen-ed class. lots of extra credit assignments. Few quizzes but he prepares you for them and gives you study guides! 1 experiment, a few reports but SUPER EASY.

Awesome professor!! All of his notes are online and he tries hard to give his students a great grade. I got an A even though my test average was a C. Just do your writing assignments and do well on the final. Would take again.

Professor Weidman really knows how to teach well. Unlike many professors he doesn't have crazy expectations, just that students do the work and read the notes. He doesn't even require attendance because everything is online, but I still attended class because hes an entertaining teacher. He provides study guides that cover everything on the tests.

I loved professor Weidman, his class was difficult but he does everything he can to help his students succeed. Class isn't mandatory but if you don't go odds are you will fail. There is a lot of homework but if you stay on top of it at the ned of semester you won't have any. Plus they are easy assignments.

Comment:

Very easy class. 4 tests, 1 experiment and small 1 page reports throughout the semester. Class is not mandatory but I would recommend going to his test reviews which are very helpful. If you average over an A in the class then you don't have to take the final. He's a great professor and funny as well.
