Very nice man (cool enough to be my grandfather), but not much of a teacher. Unless you read the book and the slides on Blackboard for class, you will get absolutely nothing out of the course itself. He elaborates too much about Blackboard and spends little time talking about the course material. Be prepared to look at the textbook during class.

I don't know why everyone dislikes this class. It was probably one of the easiest courses of my freshman year. Yes, class time is spent discussing things that aren't really relevant to the tests, but the exams are so simple, it doesn't even matter. Read over the book, get the study guide because the practice questions help, and you're good to go

His class lectures have nothing to do with the tests. He talks about the case study for 95% of the class and the stuff that's actually on the test for like 5 minutes. If u read the book and do the study guide you should b fine. Test questions came right from the book.

Tom O'Neill is a nice, caring man, but his lectures are completely pointless. My best advice is to read the book and start his 'study tips' in the beginning of the unit. If you read and study hard, then there is not point in going to the class. He mumbles and speaks very quietly, and he hasn't updated anything in years. Good guy, useless professor.

Tom Oneill is a great teacher! He is a kind, gentle, and understaning man who goes above and beyond his means to help his students. I do not understand how anyone couldnt like him. He is very smart and covers a nice variety of topics. I would take him again and strongly reccommend him :-)

I don't understand what everyone's beef is with O'Neill. He is the nicest guy on the face of the earth and is an outstanding teacher and he is very well-rounded. He knows alot about everything. While he can be sort of forgetful, everything is clearly outlined in the syllabus and online. I would take him again in a heartbeat!

Cares too much about attendance, but also cares about the wellbeing of his students which is nice. You're better off reading the chapters than listening to the boring lectures. His final is cumulative and that sucks, but he lets you study from your old tests which is awesome.

If you do the questions in the study guide and then some of the questions from the online companion website, he uses the same exact questions for his tests. Reading the chapter is too tedious, and you don't need to do it. Just highlight what he lectures about in class.

don't we have enough papers to write without having to do a paper on each article for each chapter? i'm sure class discussions would be much more helpful, and would also provide a way to see other peoples' views on topics.

Class time is wasted on articles. lectures should be spread out over the entire week, not just one day. Spreading out the information will lead to longer discussions on topics and better understanding.
