Very talented, help me develop my skill base as well as composition. I learned so much in his class, and if you want to put in extra time and perfect your technique he's there for you, totally secure in his ability and wants to see his students excel. Totally encourage anyone to take his classes.

Charlie is a great man that is a better person than teacher but he still relays information fairly well. He may not always be clear on what he wants and sometimes he loses track of time and days but just say something to him and he is more than willing to fix it. He is very open minded and cares deeply for his students. Great man.

Very laid back. Does what he can to help his students. He may make comments about a student's work but only to inform that student on how to make them better. May not be clear on what he wants for the assignments. Shares life experience in photography. Voice is monotone.

Although a great teacher and helpful when asked, he does often stray from the topic of photography and into aspects of his own life. Overall, however, it is an excellent class in which you'll learn a ton. Be prepared to devote many additional hours in the lab in order to receive a great grade!

Expexts a tonfrom his students. We try to please him and it never seems good enough, costly having to print photos over and over.Thinks we're not spending enough time in the dark room when some of us have up to 7 other classes and we're there till 2am!

Winters is a nice guy, very laid back and easy to talk to, especially because he always has something to say. Photo is a very costly class and i would recommend only taking it if it really interests you and you have a lot of free time.

Really helpful when you what it, just have to ask for it. Critiques may be a little harsh sometimes, but hey, he's the professional here! I suggest, even if you have a little bit of curiosity in photography, take this course. It's a little artsy, but fun!
